Reviews
Below are some critical reviews about Redline Bikes Proline Race Bikewhen opening, watch out for razor sharp staples,i sliced my pinky finger.i suggest redline use straps instead of staples.next, this thing is so well packed, its probably possible to start a brand new landfill with foam and cardboard.my first view, the paint job is ferrari quality.i use to own a redline in my teens and im 50 now.the engineering of frame is perfection.its truly an art piece.the brakes were perfectly set on the rear wheel but i recommend readjusting the brake lever.the seat, this is a hardcore, race only seat,a butt protector, nothing more.if you will be a daily rider, plan now to replace seat and seat post.search out 26.8 diameter seat post, they are rare on the market.watch the tires upon airing up.barely air them, make sure the beads on tires are properly seated then finish to full pressure.sitting in stock causes tires to get oblong but once fully inflated they are good solid reliable race tires and street tires.im very proud of my new redline proline xxl and i think its a great bargain for the money.a very rigid and solid design.very light weight and a bike for a lifetime.i have no regrets.
Bike rides really well, no complaints about the bike. My complaint is with Redline, my bike delivered with many massive paint chips and scratches. I emailed the company twice asking for some touch up paint, and never received a reply from redline customer service. Today the bottom bracket started squeaking, but I know I’ll be left high and dry by redline In getting any support, so I’ll just pay for these repairs on my own.
This bike is for a smaller rider. The components are of decent quality, but they do not warrant this price point. Overall this is a mid-level bike, not a pro-level bike. Also, the brakes on this bike are low quality and do not perform for a proline bike. If you're over 5’ 5”, this bike is Too small. This is my opinion, but I remember Redline bikes we're quality bikes and this bike does meet that standard.
