Below are some critical reviews about Mongoose Advanced Featuring Professional Grade Hydroformed

Bought this $500 bike. Had a professional bike shop assemble it. 3 weeks later my grandson went off a 6 inch curb. The crankshaft bent, the spring holding the freewheel pawls broke allowing a pawl to destroy the inside of the hub. Customer service said they would not cover replacement of any parts. Poor customer service, it took 6 tries to reach anyone at Mongoose and they required multiple pictures, multiple emails to deny any warranty coverage. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE LOSER BIKES!

Took way to long to be deliveredThe seat is way to small, I don’t even think it is the one appropriate for this bikeAnd , just forget about the price ( way to much )

Its a nice bike and i would have rated it higher, but its made in china which i hate. If i buy another bike ill be making sure its made in the great ol' U.S. of A.MURICA!

Below are some positive reviews about Mongoose Advanced Featuring Professional Grade Hydroformed

Was looking for a complete race ready bike with quality components for $400-$600. After some shopping around and reading reviews this one seemed to be the best deal. It arrived quickly with no damage or missing parts. It’s mostly assembled and the rest of the assembly is rather easy with some basic tools most everyone has at home. After looking over the quality of the parts and taking It out on a few rides I’d say this is an excellent bike that’s basically ready to race right out of the box. I gave it a 4 but it’s probably more like a 4.5 but that’s not an option. The deduction is for 5 issues I had 4 of which are mostly minor complaints. 1st issue I had was the brake handle. It’s really long like you’d see on a motorcycle. Besides being a little unnecessary added weight it’s also something that could get bent or broken in a crash or perhaps caught on another rides pants or shirt in a close racing situation. It works fine but I will be replacing it. 2nd the seat pole is too short for casual street riding. It’s padded for street riding but way too short and at a funny angle. The should’ve either made it slightly longer or just saved putting padding on It that’s just more added weight that’s unnecessary. 3rd issue is the chain seems pretty flimsy and cheap. It works fine again and may be no issue for most people but it too will be replaced. 4th issue is being an aluminum frame they should’ve included chain tensioners. Any ruder that rides hard is going to have issues with the chain creeping up which could lead to a popped chain plus It will shred the hell out of the aluminum when It does. This was noted by many others and I resolved it by ordering the tensioners at the same time I ordered the bike. The 5th and last issue was the only one that I’d consider a major issue. The pedals that come with the bike are complete junk. They’re plastic and don’t spin freely at all. I was never going to use the stock pedal anyway as I have clipless pedals but nobody should use those pieces of junk. Just expect to buy pedals for this bike if you don’t already have an extra pair. They really should use a better set of metal platform pedals on a race bike designed for a larger rider. One other thing for taller riders the top tube on the Pro XL is only 21.25” instead of the usual 21.5” so if you’re over 5’11” you’ll probably want to go with the Pro XXL. Overall this is a great bike for this price definitely an incredible value and I would recommend It to anyone looking for a ready to race bike that won’t break the bank. Can buy It on the 6 month EZ pay plan for only around $90 a month which is what I opted to do. Hope the review wasn’t too long and was helpful.

I would love Mongoose to rerelease the Supergoose as a serious machine. However, this ticks all the boxes except by name, so I'm thinking they missed a trick here. Track ready out of the box and quick to assemble, most of the components are preattached and I didn't have to make many adjustments save for the saddle stem, handlebar rake and brake lever position. Lightweight frame with great race tuned geometry and gearing, well made and nicely finished. Even the decals/stickers are under lacquered! In time you'll want to upgrade a few components like the pedals and perhaps cranks, but try it first as is. Let's be honest, anything you swap out on this machine won't really be to save a few meagre pounds but to make it look even slicker and more expensive, although the seatpost and saddle really aren't suitable for regular riding, just something to perch on at the track. I'm sticking to the minimalist look until things break before upgrading. It's good enough and out performs anything else for the money right now. Vital geometry specs for all sizes upto XXL are: Toptube length 21.25" (21.75" XL and XXL). Wheelbase 948mm (962mm XL 975mm XXL) Stand-over height 20.9". Headtube angle 74° /length 120mm. Seattube angle 71°/ length 9.1". Seatpost size 27.2mm. Chainstay length 14.3'" (15.3" XXL) Handlebar width 700mm. Stem length 50mm. Bottom bracket drop 1.5". Fork offset 1.5". I wanted to buy a BMX pro racing bike without breaking the bank. I am beyond impressed with this bike. I would recommend this bike to anyone.
