Below are some critical reviews about 4 Stroke Petrol Motorized Bicycle EngineThis is the second time I bought this. it’s a great idea on paper. It is fun to zip around on And use for small distances but It is dangerous from the lack of breaking power. This engine is too powerful for most standard clam shell style brakes ( which you are almost forced to use ) and the way you attach the rear sprocket makes coaster brakes impossible to use. This doesn’t fit in a few frames easily. And both times I had to heavily modified the bike itself. Customer service is very nice though I sent them an email about extra bolts ( that they don’t sell separately ) and got a response the very next day. if I were ever to build another bike like this again I would have to do a complete scratch build most likely using disk brakes
Product over all looks good, but looks dont make it go, was very disapointed in the transmission, its belt drivin, seller did not mention anything about belt drive, all other engines i looked at after i bought this were chain drive, i have a very bad feeling that ill be replacing it soon, seller should have mentioned this type of transmission....and i was missing the gas tank petcock valve, customer would not send me one...even though all the parts were single and just thrown in the box...foam was stuck to alot of the parts and the heat made it hard to clean off....
I was very excited when this arrived today. I laid out my tools and began to work on this kit until I got to the crankset. This kit does not come with the one-piece crank you see in most videos, but instead comes with only the arms and sprocket. They neglected to make it obvious that this kit does not come with a 3 piece crank conversion kit. Now I have everything left in pieces while I wait for parts that I had to order. It took all the fun out of my night.

runs great first attempt, no adjustments necessary. there was an in tank filter plus an in-line gas filter included in package. arrived on time with clean new parts. goes fast enough to make eyes water. turns the seat into a vibrating seat LOL.CONS - requires assortment of tools to complete build, package was missing one screw from the twist grip handle, box was not marked with an arrow which side was to be facing up: consequently was dropped hard upside-down (no damage), the mounting bracket is NOT universal (i welded a plate on bike instead), the muffler fell off on second day (did not mount with additional brackets=just two engine screws, i suggest additional support or yours will fall off too), the instructional document included was far from a research manual (youtube will help with the rest), the spokes on the back rim bent in <50 miles (found a heavy rim upgrade for $26 on amazon), there is an oil filter wrench included with package that is completely irrelevant to this build (extra cost and shipping weight for no reason!), pants may smell like exhaust after your ride.... so what haha.In conclusion, i would buy again or recommend to a friend. However i would not give this as a gift because it is not all inclusive. it is ear to ear grinning fun, hope you enjoy yours as much as i do mine.
This is a really solid engine kit for a Bike. Make sure EVERY single thing is tightened down first before mounting though. Pro tip, the engine mounting plate. Take the four lag bolts out, clean off the two pieces of black metal then put the bolts back in and use some steel epoxy putty on the heads of the bolts to hold the heads in place as you ratchet it tight. The engine runs fantastic, needed very little tuning even out of box. Also you might have to get a three piece crank converter if your bike has a solid axle to be able to use the supplied drive assembly for the pedals. Im pretty happy with it so far, I have only driven it a few miles but it runs like a sewing machine, and very very fuel efficient, I use it to get around town when I dont feel like firing up the old truck.
This was a gift for a homeless person who pulled a little trailer behind his bike with pedal power alone. While I would certainly recommend having an experienced mechanic install this motor, once complete, use is a breeze. My homeless friend is happier than ever. With a four-stroke engine (as opposed to two-stroke), one does not have to mix gas and oil. Filling up at the pump is problem-free. Power is optimal. I would advise a bike with shocks as there is considerable vibration. The motor requires A LOT of space, ergo a large frame is needed. Finally, the muffler needs to be secured, the means of which are not included, and it gets VERY hot. Be careful. Have fun.
