Below are some critical reviews about AW Electric Bicycle Front WheelAs a disabled senior, I was so excited to have my e-trike conversion complete! I rode out of the driveway and zipped a short way down the road. Turned around and the motor did not have enough power to get back up the very slight slope into the driveway. It chugged something terrible and then just gave up! I was using brand new, fully charged 12 volt SLA AGM batteries - 15 amp hour - 3 in series to make 36 volts. Hundreds of dollars wasted in other parts besides the electric hub motor conversion!
"simplest conversion kit"yeah right first you need to find the right tube and tire. then you have you have to buy 61.99 batterys have the know how of hooking them up in parerall line by buying extra wires and parts. read a darn manual that mentions a pas system which my kit didn't include nor the LCD screen the manual mentions isn't anywhere with this kit.so far this has been a p.i.t.a. stay far away if you value your money and time. cause believe me you will be spending a lot to get this going.
The aluminum rim is too small in diameter and has edges too low for any standard tire to mount securely. My local bicycle shop examined it and said it is common with these wheels, and cannot be fixed.

Super easy kit, to the person that said there was no wiring diagram makes no sense because it's simply Plug and Play except for a battery. Literally a six-year-old could put this together. As stated in another review the motor is loud at a certain speed. I used this kit on a sun trike 24 in. Only issue I had was the fork wasn't wide enough. I just used a Jack to widen the fork slightly. As for performance I'm only using three 12-volt SLA batteries in series to make the 36 volts. Trike is for my father who is much smaller than I am. The motor moves my 330 lb plus the bike at about 20 miles an hour. More than impressed.
Very good quality 24" starter kit. Came with motorized front wheel (labeled as 36V, 750W), thumb throttle, two brake levers with motor shutoffs, an electronic wheel controller, large battery bag, a cable wrap, a few zip-ties, a user manual and a testing guide.The bike I chose for this project was a 24" BMX-style bicycle. The tire that came with the bike seemed too big for the motorized wheel at first, but after inflating the tube, the tire fit quite well. Front fork had to be pried open a few millimeters to get the motorized wheel's axle into the slots with included inside washers. Slight modification was also necessary to make the wheel secure with the included outer wheel-stay washers. Thumb throttle and brake levers slipped onto the handlebars with very little effort, easy to adjust and tighten. Purchased an inexpensive rear rack to mount the battery bag onto. Three 12V, 15Ah batteries (connected in series) and the motor controller fit into the bag with lots of room to spare. Cables were made tidy with the included cable wrap. Because of the weight of the bicycle I felt it necessary to install a low-cost good-quality front brake caliper for better slow-downs. Overall a very painless put-together.The motorized wheel tends to chug at low-throttle pressure, as if it is alternately going forward and backwards. Not sure why. At full throttle the bicycle moves quickly with a surprising amount of torque being generated. Looks as if 36V, 15Ah batteries are plenty enough to carry my sub-200 lb. frame on this bicycle under 'normal' riding conditions.Time will tell if this kit holds up.A very nice, smooth, easy build for my first e-bike.
I added this wheel to a Trike I was given as a gift. It was a fairly easy conversion and we had a wiring harness/cable made to connect to the charger, the one I use for one of my other electric bike/scooters. The motor delivers and gives sufficient power on hills but it is louder (hence 4 stars) than I expected, my other electric bike and scooter both have comparable motors and don't make the sound this motor makes when revved, otherwise, this has been great fun and is getting me around. I will update if any problems arise in the future.
