Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about Sixthreezero 7 Speed Bicycle 700x32c Wheels

Every time I ride my bike, I swear I'll go straight home and write an angry review. Literally every single time. I don't know why it's taken me so long to post this, but here we are. In short, these bikes are junk. I would say they're precisely what you expect for about $400 dollars, but the truth is, you could spend less on a Huffy at Target and get something better. My bike showed up with some assembly required. After noticing that not all the parts fit together (awesome), I noticed the brakes didn't work properly. I called customer service and they said they'd reimburse me if I got a tune-up at a bike shop. Great customer service, but that's the only good thing I have to say about this company. My bike rattles and clangs endlessly. I'm CONSTANTLY having to tighten things, like the handlebars, kickstand, wheels, etc. The brakes are terrible and the wire is either slipping or stretching. I can't tell. The gears shift poorly — reaching the highest gear has always been nearly impossible — and now they grind because either the chain or the gear wheel is warped. The tires lose air and are flimsy anyway, so when I hit a bump the metal sometimes hits the ground. This bike is also curiously slow yet not terribly heavy. I'm at a loss. Bottom line, I've had a lot of bikes and this one is just a waste of metal and money. It's nice to look at and people compliment it more than any shirt I've ever worn, but good looks don't equal good engineering. Don't waste your money. Spend the money on a bike you'll have more than 8 months before throwing away.

Purchased bike and received a few days later. Took it out of the box and took 2 or so hours to set it up (the instructions are for a different bike all together) then within 45 minutes on the first ride the pedal fell out and was stripped.I now get the pleasure of taking it apart and sending it back to Amazon.

Thanks, Sixthreezero, for giving me generic directions to bike parts I don't have and not for the actual unit and parts I do. Absolutely useless. I'm quite a handy person, I followed the directions as written, installed the fenders and rear rack ahead of the brakes, and now I have to pay $50 for my local bike shop to fix and tune up the bike because the rear rack won't come off for me to center the rear brake assembly. Awful, awful instructions.

Below are some positive reviews about Sixthreezero 7 Speed Bicycle 700x32c Wheels

Let me start by saying it’s been many years since I had or rode a bike, so I’m not an expert. But here are my impressions.First, the bike is very attractive, if that’s important to you.It arrived with the frame, rear wheel, derailleur and fender already assembled and there was no shift adjustment required on mine. The remainder of the unit was easily assembled in spite of the fact that the instructions were for a different model, and it took me about two hours to complete and align. The front fender did not align properly with the wheel regardless of adjustments because the supplied strut was too long by about ½”. The Sixthreezero rep I communicated with argued with me, claiming this couldn’t possibly be so, but he sent a replacement that turned out to be… ½” shorter and worked fine. Regardless of our disagreement the response time was very fast.I like the quick release levers for the front and rear wheels and the seat, making removal, but unfortunately also theft, easy. So if you get this model be sure to get a good lock and a steel cable or chain long enough to go through the frame and both wheels. The Shimano 7-speed derailleur is smooth and immediately responsive, unlike the bike I had many years ago. However, as this is advertised as a “comfort” bike, it would be nice if it had a comfortable seat. The seat it comes with is hard and narrow and you probably will want to replace it immediately. Sixthreezero should include a better seat, or at least make that an upgrade option. The brackets that connect the fenders to the bracing struts are mounted on the outside surface and could be painted to match instead of bare metal. Maybe that’s picky, but it is noticeable. It is a requirement to open an account with the company in order to get your one-year warranty which means you’ll get more daily spam, as if you need that, but you can always block it.Also, if you’re looking for comfort you might choose a model with thicker tires to give a somewhat smoother ride. I can’t fault Sixthreezero for my choice since the picture and specs are plainly noted in Amazon’s description. As I get more riding time, I’ll update my review.

#1 this bike is a beautiful bike!#2 the installation was much easier than I thought. I have never put a bike together so I had read that it would be a little more difficult but it was pretty straight forward and came with just about everything you need. The only thing that didn’t quite work was attaching the rack behind the seat. It didn’t quite line up right so I just removed mine. If you’re a bigger guy such as myself (6’ 2” 290lbs), the seat may be a little uncomfortable but would be an easy fix.

Bought this bike several weeks ago and I really like it overall. I had a bit of trouble getting the bike out of the package with worrying about bending the spokes due to the tight packing. A bit of advice - cut *all the zip ties before you try to remove the bike and make sure the box is completely cut away first. The assembly is probably not too challenging if you read the directions. I should have tried that. As it was I fiddled around and finally got things right. There are some assembly videos out there that support will point you to but not specific to this bike so they help some but are not great. The bike itself is very nice and smooth. The breaks are ok - very traditional caliper breaks. The only thing I have had a bit of trouble with is getting the fender over the chain adjusted properly so it doesn't make a noise when I am climbing hills. Not a huge deal. The shifter is very smooth and the bike is very light. Overall I'm quite happy with it, though I may upgrade the brakes someday.
