Below are some critical reviews about Next Avalon Comfort Suspension BlackBrakes difficult to adjust due to the way they are constructed. Still unable to adjust so that they do not rub on tire when not engaged, but, slow the bike down when engaged.Gears are not smooth.If it was not such a pain, would return the bike without question.
Brakes were difficult to adjust and I believe the rim on the front wheel was bent.
received product with defective tire tubes. no rust or damage just dry rot damaged tubes. No help from customer service.

I purchased this bike for my ten year old son. He’s a big ten year old- approximately five foot and 150 lbs of stocky boy. I had a ladies bike just like this and he was riding it all the time because it was more comfortable than what he had (a kid bike from Walmart). So I found this men’s bike in the same size and brand and he loves it! It’s not a flashy bike by any means but if the comfort of it means he will actually ride it, then we are all happy! Some reviews have said the bike is difficult to put together. My husband put this one and mine together very easily in just a few minutes. He would have complained to me if he thought I bought a chintzy/cheap bike that was crappy to put together, but he didn’t! So it must be decent quality. He is also very handy so that makes a difference in the assembly. The brakes are a little difficult to adjust as some reviews said, according to my husband, but it didn’t affect the overall assembly time, nor has it affected our riding of the bikes. My son and I both really like the comfort and simplicity of the bike. For me personally, my ladies bike (which is purple) is the only bike Ive ever been on that doesn’t hurt my back and my rear!
Great bike. Fits me well for my 5' 7 inch frame. Comfortable ride and smooth gear shifting design.
