Below are some critical reviews about Jetson Throttle Electric Lightweight PortableI hit month 4 and the bike died! It will not hold any charge. What make it worse is that nobody is there to stand behind the product. Jetson gives some crappy excuse about authorized resellers and won't even offer technical support to troubleshoot the issue. Now I have a $400 paper weight. PLUS... I bought the "protection plan" and Assirion, Jetson, Amazon all tell me they can't help. Do Not Buy if you're expecting any type of reliability.
The battery turns off randomly while riding.Besides, when I put it to charge it didn't charge at all. I guess there must be some electrical problems, but I am not a specialist,I don't know how to fix it, there is no place to repair neither...So I just have to send it back. Disappointed...
It stopped working after 30 miniutes' riding.That's unacceptable! I don't know what the deal is but I planned to get to work riding it but it seems not be be not so reliable.

Great bikes I weigh 230 and it carries me just fine not so fine up hills but I get up them lol I mean I only paid 246 per bike and I got two the wife and I are going to take these on some bike/running trails around the park and downtown it's going to be great also on Reddit I saw few people even upgraded the battery of their Jetson/dyu bike with a 10w battery that is is the same size as the current one for the price I love this thing
We bought these on sale at Costco for almost half the price which is why we weren't afraid to try it. We figured it would not be a huge investment anyway. These are our first electric bikes (some may call these scooters). We didnt expect much for what we paid but we were pleasantly surprised. While these may not go very fast uphill, it was able to slowly take a 200lb adult up without issue and without stopping. Once it gets going to does pick up speed uphill. Now on flat ground this thing is very speedy. We've clocked about 15mph before and my spouse clocked 17mph. The charge on this thing lasts a very, very long time. I think the battery has a 12mile capacity and we are definitely getting that if not slightly more. On a full charge, we took this about 7 miles one direction to the bus stop, through both city streets and off roading on a dirt path and arrived with still half of the battery left. The great thing is we can put the handlebars down and fit both bikes in back of our SUV. We really like the app and find it useful..it gives you your speed, distance, and tracks your ride on a map. It even has a way to lock your bike so that it won't start without your code in the app first. I've purchased a rear cargo rack from Walmart (made for bicycles) as well as a phone holder for the handlebars from Amazon. I bungee cord a basket to my cargo rack and I'm ready to go shopping. The front headlight and rear brake light are both very bright as well. Overall a great buy. We've owned for several months and have only charged once. The battery keeps a good charge. My only gripe is that I find the seat very uncomfortable and the company maybe should've thrown in some shocks and an extra brake in front. However for some short commuting or errands this is perfect.
Best investment! Easy to ride! We have gotten 8 more people to buy them. Only complaint I have is the Jetson Ride App will NOT work on an IPhone! It just crashes! Hope they fix that soon!
