Below are some critical reviews about Step Thru Electric Mountain Removable FoldableTires are for mainly sand & off-road/puncture & blowout pretty easily. I ended up buying new road tires 20x3.0 inch Kenda which seem to make the ride a lot more stable. Other than the tires, the rest of the bike seems well built.Finding tires for this style bike is the only downside.
The bike is a decent bike, but 3 weeks in I got a flat, contacted Asurion since I purchased the 2 year extended plan, they couldn't tell me if a flat tire was covered, would have to "wait 2 to 3 business days" before someone could even tell me, then they stated if anyone other than who they dictated worked on the bike it voids the plan...flats are part of the bike riders experience (although I now put the tape around my inner-tubes, so the chance of flats are now slim). It happens all the time. You can't even fix your own flat or replace the inner tube they said without voiding the warranty. I use this bike as a commuter bike, I can't wait a week to find out what's going on and then take it to someone they deem. The warranty is garbage.
I wanted to use this bike for outdoor use,commuting to work.as I was 2 miles down a hill I noticed the screen said err9 and it was that the controller just gave in.that being said I could only get back using just the bike itself.this happened only at 18 miles .big waste of time and money.at least I got refunded

I have been looking for a good bike that I can ride to commute in the city and enjoy the cities trails. I did my research and found this make and model to fit everything I looked for in a bike. The bike arrived fast and I was so excited to put it together was very easy! I took it out on my first ride and I was smiling from ear to ear, felt like a kid again (I’m a 43 year old man) but was making vroom sounds and honking my horn! Down Chicago streets people were screaming asking for rides and wondering where and what I was riding. I tested the throttle and was blown away the power this little beast has! I started using the pedal assist and had some issues with the gears my chain fell off the gears. I rode Chicago’s lake shore back home on only throttle since my chain fell off. I made it home safely and rode about 40 miles on a battery charge and didn’t break a sweat ! I got home and called the manuals number for assistance and surprised with the response first ring and was being helped via FaceTime by a very friendly person. I told him the issues and he right away helped me out by talking me through the issues as I fixed the problem with his help. He showed me how to adjust the shifter gears and how to change the settings maximizing the bikes full speed and potential! I was going 20 miles but now can go upto 28!. I am sure I can make it go faster if I pedal more! I can’t say enough about how much I love the bike! And really appreciate the customer service and support I called at 745 at night and got help! I hope to have many more trips to come ! Did i mention I live this bike! 1 happy customer!
This bike has power (500w), good battery life (13ah), comfortable AND it's a beauty! I am 5' tall with a 29" inseam and this bike works for me AND my 5'10" hubby! Which if you're my height - you know that's hard to find in an ebike! The first bike I received from this company had issues- it was damaged in shipping, I called customer service and they were at my door that night, picked up the bike and I had a replacement the next day! We assembled the new one, and the front fender was touching one side of the tire, called customer service, sent photos and he came out 2 days later! My point is.. there are soo many ebikes out there.. it's the customer service that makes a good bike great! (PS I bought another ebike brand, which had wobbly gear issues, they told me to take it to a bike shop, and they would pay, but I didn't buy a brand new bike to take it to a bike shop)
I ended up choosing this bike for myself because I am 5’0” tall and the style makes it easy for me to stand up with the bike. The bike is still tall, but at the lowest seat height, I can manage it. I highly recommend it for short people, but my boyfriend who is 6’2” can also ride it with no issues. I’ve rode it on the sidewalk and streets, and then just a couple days ago, we took our e-bikes out on the beach for a ride. It did very well in all of these situations. The only time it ever really stalled was on the very soft sand, but it was easy to push to the firmer sand on the beach with the pedal assist in level one. We had a blast and I’m very happy with this purchase! The battery life is really good so far. When I was riding on the beach, I had it in full power pedal assist mode, and after our long day of riding, it may be lost one bar of battery power.
