Below are some critical reviews about HITTROAD Electric Removable Battery MountainUpon completely assembling the bike, we found that the throttle wire/cable was cut on arrival. We have tried to call the 888 number, but the line states that the inbox is full. Although the bike is a quality item, it looks very bad when a company does not have a reliable way to contact them. We left our email and phone number, but we will see how long it takes them to reply. Today is 3/15/23.
The bike itself is great but was sent with a warped front brake rotor. I've asked a number of times to get a replacement sent and keep being deflected. It's shouldn't be this hard. I even paid extra for the warranty! This is ridiculous. Would love to be able to bike I spent hundreds of dollars on
Could not even get to "Step 2" of assembly because of stripped bolt in handlebar stem. And when I called "customer service" recording said "Mailbox Full". No other response. This appears to be a SCAM. Avoid at all costs.

The Hittroad Safari was the first model I considered when I began looking for e-bikes. I looked at several others, including the MIclon/Metakoo Cybertrack 100, Ancheer, TotGuard, and Vivi. I read lots of reviews, and watched many youtube videos. It seemed that each time I thought I found another bike to seriously consider, I would eventually return to the Hittroad. All of the other bikes were more expensive and some had shipping charges as high as $100, while the Hittroad included free shipping. The Hittroad was the only bike in this range that comes with a rapid charger, front and rear fenders, and most importantly for someone like me with neck and back issues, an adjustable handlebar stem. It currently has a $100 coupon which made it even more attractive.The bike arrived in only 2 days, was well very packaged, and assembly was easy, with all of the necessary tools included. I put 21 miles on the Hittroad today and am very impressed. First, there is nothing “cheap” about the bike from a quality or quality control standpoint. Everything works as it should. The brakes and shifters worked fine right out of the box with no need for adjustment. I checked every nut, bolt, and screw on the bike before riding, just to ensure nothing was loose, and everything was snug. Unlike with many bargain bikes, the wheels were straight and true with no wobble, high or low spots. The brakes are smooth and quiet. It rides solid and with no rattles.The Hittroad Safari gets up and flat out moves! I saw speeds of up to 22 mph on flat asphalt, both in pedal assist mode level 5 and in throttle only mode. There isn’t much of a learning curve with the pedal assist mode. The speed on the digital display is accurate as checked by my phone’s GPS, and it is large enough that it is easy to read. The buttons to move between assist mode levels are easy to use. After 21 miles I had two battery bars left, so I estimate my range should be somewhere around 30 miles. The only downside is that well before finishing the 21 mile ride the seat became very uncomfortable. I will be replacing it with something better.Final thought: While I was riding the bike I was stopped on two separate occasions by neighbors who expressed interest in it. When searching for an E-bike I wanted something on the cheaper side and was extremely surprised with the amount of quality we received. In fact I purchased two of these so that my wife and I could ride the trail together. The gears are made by Shimano so this uses quality parts. Battery charges fairly quickly if it had an even faster charger this would be the perfect bike for us. This bike has plenty of power for the price you pay and I weigh 200lbs so on full assistance the battery is more than enough for the trail we ride(23 miles). If you are looking for an entry level E-bike experience this would be worth a purchase.
I have had this bike for a few weeks now and I like it a lot. I bought a bike before for around the same price and it always seemed a bit flimsy. This seems solid after I got it together and rode it around. the only complaint I had was that I thought the throttle for the full electric mode was broken but found out it had to be rolling for it to engage.....does not lose a star because it was user error. Maybe mention it in the instructions though.
