Below are some critical reviews about Hiland Mountain Shimano Disc Brake SuspensionBought this to replace an F type post on a Mongoose Mountain bike. The post is to fat to fit the tube on the bike, very frustrating. I measured prior to,ordering.
First off it was a week late before delivery, then when it finally came, I was so excited to get started but then reality struck. Once I started assembling the bike the front wheel bearing wasn't tight and the rear wheel was way off from being straight, the seat post mount area on the frame was so tight it immediately scratched the seat post, then I tightened the wheel bearing thinking I was in the clear, but nope. I started to check the gears and such, the crank was bent and I immediately disassembled it and returned it to UPS of which I had to barrow my sister's mini van. So I would suggest just spending the extra money and go to a store for a better product. It was easy to return so kudo's to Amazon. I guess if your a bike mechanic it could work but the quality control was not up to my expectations.
So I got the bike sent to me by mail and when I took it out of the box I noticed it was already damaged on the frame. As you can see by the picture it was scratched up. Now there was no damage to the box. Which means they put it in the box damaged. So be careful if you order this bike. You never know how it will arrive. Other than that it seems a little higher than I would have liked. When I went online and googled my height it said a 29' inch bike would be a good fit but think I could have went with a 27' inch bike instead.
