Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about ANCHEER Electric Commuting Suspension 21 Speed

Beware of vendor: BerivioThe Bike is ok for the cost. The pudding without assist is mushy. Electric assist kicks in jerky and strong. But you do get a decent ride. Here’s the problem: I have been a Prime customer since Amazon only sold books! This was my first product return nightmare. The bike was easy to assemble, and I rode it all the next day. There was a very loud squeak/squeal in the back tire that only when away momentary when I pump the rear brake. Only for it to return. It was loud enough for bystanders to take note of my riding by.I received approval for the vendor to return the product IF I paid the shipping. Amazon agreed to reimburse me the shipping fee. So, all good, right... HOWEVER, the return label was for a location in China. The bike, which cost me a total of $749.34 was shipped to me from NJ. I boxed it up, went to UPS and was informed it would cause $1,000.00 to ship the bike to the given address in China.I immediately called Amazon and was told they would email the vendor and they would have another 48 hours to respond. They responded. Only this time it was not about the already ‘approved to return’, it was about sending pics of the problem and providing remediation assistance. That is when they became disingenuous. To them, it was ok for me to return the bike if I shipped it to China, paid the fee…bike gets lost, I don’t get a refund and I must take the insurance claim route. When they are requested to provide a pre-paid return label and State side ‘ship to’ address, now its…’what did you say the problem is with the bike…let’s help you fix it.’ Sorry the bike is now boxed and ready to be returned.I had to call Amazon again and an investigation was opened, and Amazon has assured me I will be made whole. THAT is why I have done business with Amazon for many years…they are legit! This is their instructions:“If you cannot use the label or carrier provided by berivio, you can ship your return package using a carrier of your choice. You will need to pay for return postage costs.Cai Ji2hao 1haolou 1ceng E10-19haoyinxingjiehaerbinshi, Heilongjiang, 150000Phone: 17151762443”

Edit in October: Amazon expects me to pay to privately ship this item to their warehouse in California which would cost me more than to re-buy a brand new one from this page. Neither Amazon or Berivio have done anything to attempt to remedy this situation. This terribly put together bike has left me with a bone fracture and out 700$.You get what you pay forAnd here youre paying for garbage.Edit 9/17/2021: multiple mechanical failures within a month of using for gentle commuting. Had to replace innertube myself as the replacement from seller never showed.Seller is illiterate and makes replacement or refunding a nightmare, buy directly from Ancheer on their website, don't deal with this horrible retailer. As it stands I'm currently out nearly 700USD after shipping and taxes AND have an injury to deal with. This has been by far my worst experience on amazon so far.My 200USD mongoose has held its own better than this machine.~~~~~~~~~Luckily I have been riding mountain bikes for years and have a plethora of parts and tools to make things work. If you are an inexperienced rider I highly suggest putting out more money to get a more well put together ride.Directions for assembly are terrible, if you've never assembled sonething like it, good luck,So many parts came terribly adjusted. My rear tube popped after less than a week of casual use (work commute less than 10 miles round trip)As for the actual riding-Shifting between modes has major delays, the throttle is finnicky to activate and barely gives any power and the battery does not hold nearly as long as it should. The pedal assist is amazing, when it decides to workIt's honestly a shame I need to replace any parts when I've only ridden it 4 times, if it cant handle a simple work commute it will never handle trails

An absolute nightmare!!! I bought this bike for my son over a month ago…The battery caught on fire while it was charging! I was able to put the fire out but I’ve I been trying to get a new battery for over a month! The company is impossible to deal with..They wanted to refund me just 100.00…then they sent me the wrong replacement battery! It’s impossible to find this particular battery…Here we are in July and we still can’t use the bike and no battery! Very frustrating!

Below are some positive reviews about ANCHEER Electric Commuting Suspension 21 Speed

I’ve had the bike for about a month now & have racked up 125 miles. I’ve added a rear carrier, storage bag, handlebar case for cell phone & speedometer. If you are considering this bike, my advice is to watch as many YouTube videos you can find. Read all the reviews here, and if it sounds like a good fit for you, go for it. I sure have no regrets. Word of advice: I’m just over 5’ 8” with a 29” inseam. I just barely fit this bike, especially with the rear rack on it. It is not for short people. Also, if you are technically challenged, you may want to consider going for the extra charge of have the bike assembled and set up for you. I was riding less than an hour of receiving the bike, but I did have to tweak the brakes and the Shimano gears. No big deal, but if this is outside your skill set, you might want to spend the extra bucks.750 mile update. Still loving the bike. Only issue has been flat tires. Too much riding on suburban bikes lanes in lieu of dedicated bike trails. After my 5th flat, I upgraded tubes and tires and added tire liners. No flats since.I’ve become pretty expert at managing battery life/range. I’ve only run out of juice twice. Once at mile 23 of a 25 mile ride. Made it back to my car fine w/o electric assistance. At home I discovered tires were at 40 PSI. They really need to be 60-65 to get the most out of the bike. The other time I was experimenting with using that max electric support. Really increased my average speed until the battery cut out around mile 18. Typically I ride 18 - 20 miles with power to spare. Longest ride to date was 28 miles, again with power to spare. If you make a habit of coasting whenever possible and rarely, if ever, relying 100% on electric support, you can cover 28-30 miles or better. It’s smart to pay attention to the lights. You’ll find that it doesn’t take long before you drop from 5 lights to 4. Takes a while to reach 3, and quite often lights four or even 5 will come back on if you peddle harder or hit a stretch where you can coast. Once you are down to 2 lights and light 3 no longer returns when coasting, you don’t have much battery left. Down to 1 light and your destination better be in sight!Your mileage will vary based on terrain, weather and how much effort you put into cycling. After 700 miles, I’m in pretty good shape, but I’m still 71 years old. That electric boost going uphill is very much appreciated.Bottom line: the bike is a bargain. Looks great and rides even better. Zero regrets on my part!

This bike is amazing. It has given me freedom that can't be found by taking the bus. I can commute to work and not sweat gallons like I used to, riding my mountain bike. It's also more compact and lightweight than regular bikes; I can carry it upstairs to my apartment without any trouble. The Pros:- Lightweight: One hand carry!- Maneuverable: You can dodge obstacles with ease.- Quick charge: 2-3 hours for a full charge.- Value: Good bang for your buck. The Cons:- Brakes: The stock brakes are low quality.- Power: You're not going to set any land speed records.- Range: 10 miles in real-world conditions.- Seat: Not very comfortable for longer commutes.**IMPORTANT INFO!**The stock brake pads do not hold up for very long, especially in wet/dirty conditions. My first set lasted about 40 miles and failed while I was traveling downhill. Buy a replacement set first thing, before you need them! I found Shimano B01S

This is the F-wheel DYU D1 deluxe version. You get a lot of scooter for a reasonable price, the lights and horn are serviceable but beware it is under-powered for typical western adult masses if you want to use it for a real transport device. I am a 6 ft 110 kg male and on flat ground this thing is immensely entertaining, but even fairly modest inclines will stall it out. I mostly use it indoors at work for relaxing laps around the corridors, it excels at this, it is very quiet and its top speed is a white-knuckle experience in close quarters! One of its nicest features is its low mass and carry handle built into the frame. The fenders fit properly, the pictures have them mounted weird, not sure if that is artistic license or just bad assembly? I bent mine down into a more conventional and functional position. The kick stand is great, the pegs are fine and screw into the bottom bracket where the pedals for the D2 would be mounted. The D2 is almost identical, but has pedals a chain and a freewheel rear single speed sprocket. I suspect I would love a D2, having the option to pedal when the motor is struggling up an incline would make this an entirely different and more useful class of machine! The rubber thing over the charge receptacle it pretty poorly designed, well its usability sucks it actually fits fine and all... odd because the rest of the industrial design is actually very good. There has been a lot of thought put into the design, and after another iteration of both the D1 and D2 I think DYU has a monster product on their hands. It is quite physically small but a big guy like me can ride it for hours! The small size and low mass is part of its cute charm. The stock seat gets pretty hard after an hour or so, I replaced it which made everyone who uses it very happy. There is a child-seat option for this thing that clamps onto the frame at the handle, that seems a little nuts, but this was designed for the Asian urban transport market. It isn't an URB-E or Glion Dolly scooter replacement, those are both great products that can be real last-mile transportation, I don't believe the D1 can really offer this, unless the area is pretty flat or you are relatively petite. I would strongly consider trying out a D2, but currently there aren't distributors for it in the US yet and the shipping from China is pretty large for single unit quantities. Hopefully the D2 will appear state side later this year?So in summary this is a very fun toy for kids and adults!
