Below are some critical reviews about HAILONG 36V 10AH Lithium ConnectorI bought this battery as an additional for my e-bike the bag that it comes with is really cheesy the threading on the bag gave out and my battery fell on the ground at full speed while driving my bike a car behind me almost hit it however I must say even though there is damage to the outside of the battery casing this battery is still charging and still operating by bike as good as when it was brand new I ride my e-bike all the time my first month I hit a pothole my e-bike folded on me and again the same battery was thrown to the ground so after 2 kicks to the ground the battery is still performing as good as or same as it did new so all in all for the price I have to say that this battery definitely takes a Lickin and keeps on ticking kudos to the manufacturers of this battery
I bought the 14 Ah version to upgrade my 8 Ah battery that came with my bike. The battery works well and is the same size as my 8 Ah. I like the very useful charge display on the top. The only problem I have is that it should give a 75% increase in range over the original 8 Ah battery. In fact, it hardly adds any range at all. I have done comparison rides and it depletes at about the same rate as the original battery. Also it is not returnable so that is a disappointment.

DAY 15 - BIKE METER DEFECTIVE - NOT THE BATTERY - Bike meter won't measure new or old battery correctly.DA ENERGY has sent me 4 emails explaining that the correct operating voltage for this battery is 42 to 29 volts and that near the end of the charge the voltage drops. GOOD COMPANY OFFERING SUPPORT.They also wanted to know how far I could ride with one charge. GOOD MEASURE OF A BATTERY!Apparently the meter on top of the battery is a voltage meter. Which is why I got incorrect readings about the "charge"Charging fills up the battery capacity to deliver amperage.SO, I am now riding my with a voltage meter across both wires and have split one wire with an amperage meter to judge actual performance.So far I have done a 5 mile ride with no voltage loss and amperage going from 2.5 amps available at the start at full load to 1.8 amps available at the end of the ride.I now plan to connect my old and new battery in parallel to see the performance of the combinationDAY TWO - THREE PROBLEMSBattery won't charge. Today is Thursday Sep 9. Received battery Tue Sep 7.There were minimal instructions and I read them carefully. They said to charge battery fully before first use. Meter on the battery showed 1 blue light (low 25%)Plugged in the charger, light on charger went from green to red indicating charging was occurring.In 1 hour, meter on the battery showed fully charged (four blue lights). WRONG READING. My electric bike battery took 4 - 6 hours to fully charge and this is a bigger battery.(1) DEFECTIVE (FAKE) METER ON BATTERY. Also light on charger still red so battery is still charging.At 2.5 hours, charger light turns green. Still TOO SHORT A TIME FOR FULL CHARGE. AMAZON WEBSITE AD IMAGE #6 says CHARGING TIME 6-7 Hr.(2) THIS BATTERY/CHARGER COMBINATION WON'T TAKE A FULL CHARGE.Connected battery to bike. Bike meter shows 50% charge. Tried 4 more times to fully charge battery (in short bursts to avoid heating and overcharging problems). No progress.Took a short ride. Bike Meter at 50% went to 30% in 1 minute and then 10% in 10 minutes.And the defective (fake) meter on battery still shows it is at 100 percent.(3) REPLACEMENT OR REFUND REQUESTED.Amazon Website image 6 says:1000+ (charge cycle image) , 12 months warranty , 3 year+ (Warranty Shield image.)The Amazon page is First Class American Marketing!But what kind of company is DA ENERGY?And do they have NEW batteries, that can be fully charged with meters that accurately reflect state of charge in battery?I request a refund or a replacement.Day Seven:The seller is offering some communication and their response was timely (within the two days.)I am still learning about the Amazon message system (found it under Account) and trying to learn about their new automated message bots that prevented me from contacting the seller (an Amazon representative had to get involved (when I finally found the hidden phone number) and was extremely helpful as usual.)The email the seller sent went to a wrong folder in my email browser (my mistake) so I did not see it until today. I have sent a copy of my detailed review (above) of my experience to the seller DA Energy.In addition, I have purchased two multimeters to try to measure battery and charger voltage and amperage while charging and while not charging to see if I can better describe what is happening.So far the reading indicate a problem, but the cause is confusing, and may also be my test rig.Review now 2 stars.
Built my disabled Dad a 3 wheel bike to give him some freedom. It is powering a 36V 750W Electric Wheel. His first ride was 28 miles round trip and still had about 25% This battery was worth every penny so far.
Ordered and received the first set in a couple days. Unfortunately the battery pack had very high internal resistance. Something was wrong. Contacted the seller and received a replacement a couple days later. Second set worked good. 36v 20ah pack on a schwinn s400 36v 500watt controller 24v 400watt motor. With 9ah sla batteries I was getting about 2 miles. With this battery I can easily get 5 miles but notice at 36v under load the speed really drops. That's not the battery fault rather my fault for having such a small build for such a big guy. 36v 500 watts isn't the best build for someone 6' 5" and 350lbs. So far the longest range I have gotten off this pack is about 7 miles before recharging but again that's my build not the battery. The kids " 140lbs" can ride the scooter for over 20 miles on a charge but we haven't ran it to cutoff yet so max distance is unknown but seems to be on par with what was expected. Online calculators say the kids should be getting around 35 miles so 20 miles and still at 36v under load seems like 35 miles is gonna be achievable. Good buy and I'm happy with the purchase.
