Below are some critical reviews about ECOTRIC Folding Electric Removable ThrottleThe owner manual is badly written. They use one manual for many bikes, so it’s very confusing and the picture shown it’s not even from the bike I purchased.The LED display is not Digital, it’s hard to understand and does not display the speed.That seat is small and hard as a rock, plus it’s vibrate when I used electric mode, so very very uncomfortable sitting on it.It’s not easy to fold the bike because the latch is small and there’s no vlear instructions how to do it.I bought this bike for my wife, I also bought another bike from a different manufacture for about the same price, it offers a lot more than this bike.
Initially charged the battery which showed full at about 2.5 hours. Let bike sit unridden for 3 weeks while trying to fix older ebike. When I took it out for a test ride the battery wouldn't turn on. Put it back on charger for about 20 minutes and it showed full. Both tires lost 20 and 40 lbs of pressure in 3 weeks, and noticed that front valve set into wheel much more than normal. Proceeded to ride around the block couple of times. Rear disc brake lever really hard to pull and almost no stopping power. Front v-brake worked fine. Acceleration with 350 watt motor was more than older ebike with 250 watt motor. Due to rear disc brake, carrier is specially designed for this bike and no other carrier can replace it. It has NO rat trap as other carriers have. It lacks a suspension front fork and no indication that on can be substituted. Pedals are so tight that I can't fold them although I have same design pedals on old bike and they fold relatively easy. I have over 12 years riding a folding ebike and am very dissatisfied with this one. I am sending it back.
Just received bike, battery charged for13 hours. It doesn't work. I emailed seller. Let's see response. They say have manual troubleshooting info on wires but I am not mechanical. The product should be tested before shipping and work upon arrival. I hope I don't need to take it to a bike shop, have them fix it and pay. I'll be pissed.

The bike arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It does not include the basket shown in the picture and has no lights. It is well built though. Very strong and sturdy frame. The wife enjoyed riding it butt still needs to get used to the electric option with the extra power. Looking forward to many fun bike rides with the Mrs. before she couldn’t ride due to knee problems. Would by again.
If you cycle to enjoy the quiet of nature, this ain't the bike for you. Any forward movement, whether pedaling or not, results in a pretty loud whine from the motor. Much louder than the mid-drive ebike I used to have. The seller was very good about sending me replacements when I had trouble getting the pedals on. Everything works as it should so far, and the folding is easy. I like that you can remove the battery easily to lessen the weight when moving the bike. I changed the seat to a more comfortable one. I also added front and rear lights.It turns out most of the whine was coming from the rear disc brake. I adjusted it which helped lessen the noise.
This is my first electric bike and its a really good experience it runs very smoothly. Very easy to assemble and ready to ride out of box, very well made, if you put the spring seat in it, that will you more comfort.
