It was fairly easy to assemble but I did end up having an issue with the front brake rotor and caliper mechanism. I exchanged several emails with a support person at Avasta. He was very determined to make things right for me. In the end, it turned out that a fairly simple adjustment was all that was required. The bike looks great and down the road, I may buy one for myself, too. Avasta support rocks!
