The bike is nice, very comfortable. The problem is the extremely poor assembly instructions. The handbook that is included is for many different styles of hybrid bikes. Unfortunately, a lot of needed information is left out of the manual. One example in my case was the handlebar, nothing shown in the manual or on line that I could find, on how to correctly assemble. The picture below is how it came out of the box. I basically had to use a picture of the bike I found to correctly assemble. Very disappointing to say the least. If you have experience in assembling bikes you can probably do it. If no experience, save yourself some time and frustration and hire someone to do it for you.

Unpackaged the bike and throw the instructions directly in the garbage. They are useful only as a general overview on what needs to be done. They are NOT accurate to the model of the bike, and do not cover some incredibly important aspects of building it. Their youtube assembly video is just as useless. Refer to Park Tools' youtube videos for instructions.Bike seat - the tube faces the wrong way - loosen the nut on the right (looking at the bottom of the seat, pipe down) several turns until the teeth loosen enough to allow you to click the pipe towards you. Drop the seat onto the bike, and angle it so it is level to the pavement and retighten.Attaching the fender - do not use a screwdriver - use an alan wrench. The screws were attached too tightly to the frame, and you WILL strip them. Loosen with an alan wrench first, and be careful, you can strip them even with an alan wrench.The Caliper brakes will stop you from attaching the front tire, and are not mentioned in the instructions. Examine the spot where the wire connects the two sides of the brake calipers - you will notice a metal bracket captures a steel drum on the line, with a rubber dingy next to it. Pinch the calipers towards each other and pull the metal drum out to separate the brakes. Place your tire in. You will likely not be able to reattach the drum to the bracket of the calipers as the tire takes up too much space. Use your 5 hex wrench on the nut to the right to allow more tension. Be careful, on both of my bicycles, the wire caps were improperly crimped and fell off as soon as touched, leaving sharp, frayed metal wires exposed.I would not have purchased these bikes had I seen the instructions first.

My overall expectations were not high as it is a cheap bike. After assembly, brakes and derailers had to be adjusted, brake pads repositioned correctly on the wheels. Once this was completed, I was able to give it a couple of rides before the snow ended the season. Well this spring, first ride out, the rear wheel starts clunking when pedaling hard, so I cut the ride short and go home. In the garage I removed the rear wheel and the freewheel fell off with little bearings rolling everywhere. It’s bad enough that it fell apart, but worse, it was totally dry of lubrication, not a trace of grease to be found inside the freewheel. Had it not fallen apart, it would have self destructed in short order due to lack of lubricant.

This bike met all my expectations regarding style, comfort, quality and workmansip. It deserves to get five stars. However, I deducted one star because of inexcusable failure at the factory to properly adjust the front brake and rear derailleure.These would have been simple adjustments at the factory but cost me unnecessary time to learn how to make them.My message to, "Mr.", Schwinn: Great reputations are lost due to inattention to quality control.

I love the color of this bike! It is more orange than yellow. I am 5’5 and have short legs. It fits me perfectly. I bought it mostly for the look. I will need to adjust to only having 5 speeds but I haven’t rode a bike in a long time so that should be easy. I bought mine Like New from the amazon warehouse for half price.

I am six foot and 275 pounds and afraid of breaking some cheap bikes. I also thought front shocks were for fools. Really pleased with this bike for fit, strength, comfort and simplicity. I bought from a warehouse deal. The box was really beat, the bike was covered with a LOT of dust, but no real damage except the rear fender which you can just reshape by hand. One really weird thing, and I am not wrong about it, is the cranks and pedals were all mismarked, so they are on the wrong sides. I haven't felt it necessary to reverse them.Update, I was wrong about the pedals. They were correct. Right side is reverse thread.
