- Clear up the cylinder transfer ports before assembling maybe some rough slag inside which maybe break off and cause the jamming of pistons and cylinders; Attention on piston ring if put the piston out of cylinder, the piston rings are weak, better with right way install piston kit to cylinder.
- Fully attention on screwing cylinder to the end bottom,DO NOT screw M8 bolts tightly that maybe cause drill through the end bottom so add some gasket or washer on head is better way to prevent it happen

Below are some critical reviews about DONSP1986 Bicycle Unassembled Kit Gas MotorizedAfter a week of using the motor, it started at first and worked really well but after a couple more rides the engine started to stutter and ran on and off. There is also black oily residue coming from the muffler as if it is not burning off the oil with the gasoline. This is unfortunate because the engine doesn’t seem to be reliable and I was hoping that because I purchased the more expensive motor on amazon it would be more reliable. I followed profession directions on various YouTube videos and spent over 7 hours putting it together, so it is not user error. I cannot contact the seller so I have to write a review. Can I get a refund?
Motor has a Zeda 80 rod, good hardware, cylinder castings and ports were pretty clean. There was a lot to like. The motor had one issue.. The ring locating pins on my piston were driven in too deep thus allowing the rings to rotate 360 deg even when compressed. This is a death sentence for a 2 stroke as the ring ends will get hung in a port. The fix is super easy, just a new piston. I contacted the mfg/seller (donsp1986) twice in order to send me a replacement piston. They have refused to respond, so I ended up purchasing a replacement piston from another vendor at my own expense so the motor will be useable.*Update* Despite having to replace the piston from the start, it was well balanced and fast. It's has a good bottom end to build a good motor from. The QC on these Chinese engines leave a lot to be desired and often there are issues from the start with most of them. Most vendors will send you a new part if something in the kit was missing or bad from the start and this vendor not responding is the only reason why I didn't leave more stars.
No instructions, no instruction videos, words on parts are in Chinese, the lack of a universal Mount is a big issue, there were missing, broken, AND extra pieces, the placement of the muffler is terrible for a mountain bike, the Gas filter has a leak, the way you have the muffler and wires right next to each other causes the wires to melt, I'm going to have to make some major adjustments and buy new parts just to get it to work. Clutch lock is convenient, and it got to me in a couple days. Update: trying to contact seller for a partial refund for the $150 worth of materials I had to replace because it was missing or broken. However, there is no contact information

YES ITS A real PK80.. Box arrived with one flap not taped or came loose. Missing intake and exhaust gaskets. Came with flimsy head gasket. Replaced with a BBR tunning copper head gasket. Didn't use cylinder head or spark plug. Replaced with a CNC racing head and a 3 prong high performance spark plug.Also. Missing U bolt and plate to mount front of engine. Luckily this isn't my first build and I had extra gaskets and mounting hardware.I didn't use NT carb. I used a high performance carb. I didn't use stock muffler. I used the DONSP1986 high performance expansion Muffler I had laying around from a previous build. Didn't need 36T sprocket. Looked cheap. I have a 33T rear sprocket. Also do not use the clutch lever that comes with this kit, it is cheaply built and won't last long.I don't think this engine needs a window piston or a reed valve setup unless you want to go crazy fast and get in a wreck LOLAnyways, all in all, first 7 miles ran great and remember do not go over 25 miles per hour for the first 100 to 200 miles for breaking in. And make sure you use 25:1 mix then go to 40:1 .This engine already wants to go fast.Pretty sure the sellers should refund me $20. Or credit my Amazon account LOL because I did have to use some of my own parts.
This is a legitimate PK-80. This isn't your typical chinagirl engine. This motor has outperformed my daily motorized bicycle that's had plenty of work done to it. I highly recommend this product and seller. Everything was packaged well and arrived in a timely fashion. I will be picking up more in the future for sure. Worth every penny!!
Is a nice bike motor kit, runs great starts right up and runs very smooth. DONSP1986 customer service is outstanding, the couple of issues I had were resolved promptly, I posted another build! There was a nice savings on this one! I will buy any accessories from DONSP1986.
