Below are some critical reviews about Electric Sailnovo Teenagers Removable Lithium IonHaving owned a few budget electric scooters and bicycles, I am not sure why this gets such rave reviews. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a solid unit. I live in a pretty hilly area, and for the most part you will have to get off and walk (which is not a big deal since you can just throttle it up and it feels basically weightless).Where the unit shines is on flat level ground. It is quiet and pleasant to ride, and although I am a full 10" taller than I should be to ride it, I never feel uncomfortable on it. I have never managed to get up to the rated 30kmh however, and it usually it hovers around 22-25 (this is an issue I run into with most budget ebikes and scooters from China that I was expecting). The pedaling is a nice feature, but the gear is far too low to be useful. On flat ground, you probably only add MAYBE 1-2kmh if you are pedaling all out, which is negligible enough that I never use it. I assume that they did this so you can get an extra boost to help with inclines, but it doesn't really help there either and as I have said, you end up getting off to walk anyway. It would have been a much better design to instead increase the size of the gear and length of the chain so that you get more distance and speed out of each pedal on flatlands, and I will probably be disassembling the rear wheel to put on a longer chain and a larger gear at some point in the future to address this. Now I have owned a budget 350watt ebike before this, that clocked in at around 80lbs, and it consistently hit 20mph and 15mph on hills (I never had to walk up them even offroading), so I suspect that this is not really a 350watt motor, it is probably more like a 300 or 250watt motor. This is something built in China so I was expecting sliiightly lower quality control and a bit of creative fudging on specs, and since this is a budget ebike I was 50/50 on if it would handle the hills in my area and was only mildly surprised and disappointed when it could not. It wasn't a big deal honestly, this is a street commuter vehicle and not an off-road beast.Having said all that, despite those flaws this does what it needs to do. I needed a way of getting around for short trips that was cheaper to charge and burned a few more calories than my Chevrolet Volt, and something that my girlfriend (who has bad knees and has trouble with even comfort bicycles) could ride comfortably when we go on bikerides together. For those purposes this unit works which is why I am giving it three stars. I feel it is a basic entry level average ebike/scooter, a good unit if you keep all those factors in mind.Couldn't be easier to assemble, I've built a bicycle from scratch before but you DEFINITELY won't have to to put this together. It's also very comfortable, although I will probably upgrade the seat to bring the comfort up from very comfortable to luxurious at some point down the road.If you live in a hillier area, absolutely need that 25 or 30mph (on one of my older ebikes I often got to places the same distance away at half the speed using no fuel while burning calories because you could avoid 90% of all traffic by using sidewalks), and need something more of a daily driver as primary transport, I recommend spending an extra 200 if you can for a proper ebike.
Battery will not charge. Only rode 300 feet after first charge/ride before battery went from fully charged to dead. The battery then would not recharge but showed on charger as being charged but not on the bike, (it was dead). No manufacturer information in manual or box. Warranty card in manual seems fraudulent as the card has no info where to send card or how to contact manufacturer. Try to search "Sailnovo" and unable to find through internet. Amazon should not support this item. Sent back the next day after receiving.
Got this one because good reviews. But it isn't stand to it . Speed is not even close to 18 mph. Most I could do is 15.6 wen pedaling hard. With help of pedals got 6.5 miles range and 1/5 of battery charge left. But it was down to 11 mph at this level.Sit isn't ajusting to taller person. This bike ( or scooter ) for teenage or small adults. Bigger ppl should stay away from it .The rest is pretty good. Frame is solid and strong . Assembly was a swift and easy. It is good for kids 8 yo and up.Returning this one .

I've been wanting to get an electric bike for a very long time and I finally pull the trigger when saw this amazing dirt bike looking electric bicycle, and I'm glad I did!Once I took it out of the box, I just had to unfold the handle bar, attach the seat and pedals, that's it! It was so much easier and quicker to assemble compared to a regular bicycle I recently bought for my daughter. I love the fact that the handle bar can be folded, making it more compact for transporting in a car. This bicycle seriously looks awesome. It looks so much better in person than pictures. I saw my sons drop their jaw and drooling when they saw this bicycle for the first time. πWe've been riding this electric bike for over 2 weeks now and we are constantly fighting to take turns riding.WHAT I LIKE:✔️ Compact yet feels very natural and comfortable to ride. I'm 5'11" tall.✔️ The handle bar can be folded down and seat height can be adjusted or easily removed when transporting in a car.✔️ Amazing looking in appearance. My sons and their friends can't take their eyes off of it.✔️ You need the key and turn it on to use the electric mode like a motorcycle! Without the key, my kids can only ride this like a normal bicycle without the electric feature.✔️ It has a front headlight, which is very bright at night. The rear light actually blinks whenever you use the breaks to warn the cars behind you at night for safety. How cool is that?✔️ Clear LCD screen with speed, distance, and battery level indicator.✔️ Very smooth and easy electric ride and battery seems to last forever!✔️ Kickstand, disc breaks for both front and rear wheels, electric honk, and more!WHAT I DON'T LIKE:⛔ The speed and distance are shown only in metric system. I wish it had an option to convert to MPH but this is not a deal breaker as I won't be going over any speed limit with this.π⛔ Once you ride this awesome electric bicycle, you won't be able to go back to a regular bicycle... πBOTTOM LINE:10 out of 5 stars. Love this electric bicycle and still can't get over how awesome it is.I'm seriously thinking about buying another one for my sons' birthday. I already spoiled my son with this and he doesn't want to ride a regular bicycle anymore...Highly recommend this electric bicycle without any reservation. You will love it!Hope my video and photos were useful and if they were, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!
My regular bicycle was stolen this month and it was my only transportation so I bought this as an alternative until I can get another regular bicycle. It’s basically a scooter with a seat & pedals. It’s easy to ride and thank you lord, it comes assembled! Just add the seat & unfold the pedals, tighten everything, charge it & read the included instruction booklet. Husband took it to put the air in the tires & he had a little trouble with the front tire as the air valve is short & access is tight. The valve on the back tire is angled for easier access. I have a little trouble keeping the seat from sliding down, I like it high, even though I’m only ~5’1”. I have a little trouble locking it up since I use the U lock & the only place to connect it is the triangle behind the pedal. A cable lock would be easier, but that’s how my other one got stolen, so only metal U locks for me now. It feels a little heavy to me, but I was riding a racing bike that I could pick up with my pinky. So that’s just something I need to get used to. Love the kick-stand. Have to get used to taking the key out when I park, lol. For the price, it was under $500 & it came assembled. I can’t stress that last part enough, because I needed something fast & easy & not too pricey. This checked all the boxes. I have only charged it twice since I got it & the last time I did, the charging device felt a little hot. That’s something I’ll be keeping an eye on. But overall, it’s serving a purpose that it was needed for & doing it really well so far. I think it said it only goes 18 mph max, but if you pedal with it you can go a little faster. It handles very smoothly & it’s very easy to operate. I think the brochure says that you have to be between the ages of 12 and 60 to ride it. π I am over 60, so if you are too, this is still safe for you.Update-4/23/21 Got a flat tire on the back tire when I ran over a nail. Took it to REI and they were able to fix it. Got it home and found out it was not running smoothly so I took it back the next day and on the way there the tire blew. Once I got there and told them what happened they were able to find the problem which was some damage the nail had done to the rim. It was a huge nail. Kevin at REI was able to smooth it out and got it running good as new. He even fix the seat so it stays up now. Most regular bike shops may not have tubes to fix this. REI doesn’t usually carry them, but I got lucky that the one near me had some and they are going to keep them in stock for me now. Out of curiosity I stopped by a bike shop and ask and they did not carry them, so I made the right choice going to REI. And if you join our REI, they will fix all flats for free, you just pay for the tube. They didn’t even charge me for the second one because of what happened with the first one. I can’t stress enough what a great little scooter bike this is. And now I know what to do if I get a flat.
I have a 27.5" MTB hardtail e-bike; with a front suspension that's pedal-assisted. This one by Sailnovo is a throttle e-bike that allows you to run this like a moped, basically. You don't need to pedal, though it's advised you do on a startup to save unnecessary strain on the motor. The integrated LED lights upfront can be turned on or off. The light "meep meep" horn is not overly loud and the tail light that actually strobes & lights up brighter when the brake is applied, is great for safety both days & night! The "folding" portion is the handlebar and the pedals that tuck in so that the bike can be stored without either part sticking out, so it's very much a space-saving design. The three modes on the bike allow for mildly-assisted mode all the way to using full 350W peak power that has excellent torque. The rear suspension holds my 230 lbs as much as I bought this for my fiancee. It's actually, in fact, more comfortable to ride than my 27.5" MTB! Granted, this Sailnovo isn't for doing some serious off-road trail riding, but light trails that aren't full of bumps and whatnot will do just fine. But commuting, taking the city, and backcountry riding are sooooooo fun with this bike. The throttle also has less than 1/4 of a turn, more like 1/8th for a full-throttle, so there's no need to crank the throttle piece as you do with motorcycles either. The ergonomic grip actually does help as much as I've never owned this type of grip before. I'm thinking of getting one for my MTB and the new downhill bike I'm currently in the process of turning into a 5000W monster.People living in a big city or taking the bike to work now will get you the extra push and power...and that day you don't feel like pedaling and cruise? You can do it with this bike. It was pretty much ready to go out of the box other than charging it! An enjoyable bike you have to get! πππ
