Very disappointed that my daughter opened up for Christmas this morning and we received the men’s bike, not the women’s bike as described in the listing (Murtisol Aluminum Comfort Bike 26’’ Commuter Bike Mountain Bike Hybrid Bike for Women). We didn’t open the box prior to today (Christmas morning). I went with the reviews that said they received the women’s bike despite the bike in the photo being the men’s. Very disappointed that I was sent the men’s bike for my daughter. I hope it works for her. Would have loved to have gotten the bike I actually ordered. The bike looks like it’s good quality, though the breaks need adjustment and we haven’t figured that part out yet. And we will have to buy a better seat as it’s designed for men. I was so hoping to surprise my daughter with a cool bike for Christmas, now I’m trying to convince her this bike is cool
Whoever said "easy to assemble" was the most misleading. The photo below is after I completely unboxed it and cut all the zipties and other packaging. The only way to put this together (unless you're familiar with putting together bikes) is to take it to a bike shop and pay more money for them to assemble it for you... Personally, one of the reasons I purchased this bike was because it was advertised as "easy assembly" and then I read "easy assembly" in several reviews.Just for future buyers, I attached a photo of how the bike is actually delivered.The instructions are also not easy to follow. Step 1 is to "attach a quill system" ...There's also not any how-to videos on YouTube...
I liked the look of the bike and it went together easily for me. However, i couldn't get the from wheel to turn freely. i tried adjusting it but no luck. before i decided to return it (which would have been a pain since the box was destroyed, i took it to a certified bike shop close by. He tried several times to adjust it and got it to free spin but then had problems stopping it. It was then that he saw the caliper was defective in the piston mechanism. He replaced it for $20 and the bike works great now. I am sending the broken caliper back to the company to see if they will pay for my repair and if they do i will give this bike a 5 star as my daughter loves it as her commuter bike.

First of all, you have to remind yourself that you are only paying $xxx amount for this bike. With that in mind, I had no real high expectations. I purchased this bike to ride the Lehigh Valley Gorge Scenic Trail. This trail is a 25-mile unpaved trail that is highly recommended.But before we get there, lets look at the assembly. I put the bike together. This was fairly easy to do. I was disappointed, though, that the front wheel did not have a quick release mechanism. But the back wheel does? Odd! I also wish that there was an additional place to put a second water bottle. After ready reviews I decided to take it to a professional for fine tuning! Afterwards, perfect!I first rode it on paved trails and the bike worked beautifully. No flat tires! I then took it on the aforementioned trail. Again, not dissppointed! However towards the end of the ride the bike did develope a squeak. I don't think this is anything major - probably just need some lube somewhere. But no flat tires, still!Overall I am impressed with this bike. I wasn't expecting much, but this bike is a fairly decent bike. I do, however, regret that I didn't get the 27" tires. That is the only thing and not on the manufacturer. That is just a personal preference. Who knows, I may donate this bike and get the 27" bike.
Great value and easy assembly with the manual instructions. Afterwards I had the local bike shop do a basic tune up to adjust brakes, gears and tires. I wasn’t sure which color I was getting when I ordered and it turned out to be blue which is what I’d hoped for. I’m 5’2” and I can ride it without issues with the seat at its lowest position. My feet aren’t flat on the ground but I’m comfortable with that since all my bikes have always been that way. I’ve never heard of the Murtisol brand but overall I’m satisfied with the bike.
I am using this bike for a couple of months now and I am very happy with it. It's reliable and comfortable. I am just riding the not too challenging trials (a little hill, but mostly flat) so I am not testing it too hard. But everything works without a hitch, and I am able to go on long rides. The level of a bar was the main reason I decided to purchase the bike since I feel much safer in case I have to stop quickly or turn. I can reach the ground with my feet and support myself if I am losing balance. I love gears, changing easily and smooth.
