Below are some critical reviews about Luggage Rack Ebike Battery 500WThe rack is not durable. It is real flimsy. When installed i wondered why it looked crooked, i later find that the welds are poorly measured, i could also bend this trash rack easily. How can a heavy battery be expected to handle this on road abuse? It is very dangerous. the worst part is there is no returns.The company is allowed to ship an item to you but will not allow a return because it is deemed dangerous and volatile?! What?? So it is okay for customers to receive the item only. This is ridiculous.I am attempting to modify a better made rack and a wooden box to hold the battery. There is no way I am using this poorly constructed rack.
the battery has a few things that are really pretty frustrating. firstly the USB rubber cap is missing. says 20 mah but has no real cranking amps on my bikeberry 1000w rear motor. when accelerating sometimes it seems to have a drain because the battery meter falls really low in the battery gauge located on the speedometer. not sure if it's the motor itself or the battery because even though the box seemed ok the rim has 2 dents and I hear the spokes crunching so I need to contact them about that which is really frustrating when I paid 500 bucks for the stupid thing! wondering if I oughta get a whole new controller also because if the wheel was banged up so was the control box! cannot win at all! I will need to writing another review after I get the replacement. hopefully soon because its my only transportation cuz new york sucks and so do insurance companies now that wanna use credit to gauge how much insurance costs!
The instructions on this are horrible. I guess I should expect that from a Chinese manufacturer. But it also was missing a key component and the output is incompatible with my motor. The instructions were so bad that it took me this long to figure that stuff out. I honestly have no idea where these positive reviews are coming from.

Got one 6 months ago, loved it, got another one, put it on another bike 2 months ago (both fat bikes with 170mm rear spacing, you need to pry the rack apart ~1” and swap the mounting bar to the outside of the rack (the small holed part that bolts to the frame) to make it fit) It’s been through lots of water, rough roads, and with heavy cargo (I mounted 2 Surly TV Trays on top to extend the width and length). Love the integrated rear light and USB port. It’s not in the description, but there’s a hidden storage box in the front behind four screws. I put a GPS tracker and two 48V-5V USB converters in there to power a QuadLock wireless phone charger on the stem and a Led Lenser MH11 head light. Being able to lock the battery to the rack and to lock the battery in the off position have given some peace of mind. It’s a pretty sturdy rack! The only trouble has been screws coming loose, (those will need some Loctite) and the threads that hold the screws against the rails that connect to the seat stay mounts are aluminum, and are fairly delicate (mild torque on those). Even going 30mph on rough roads with heavy cargo, and the hollow aluminum rails have held up. The rails were much too short for the second small sized bike, but more than adequate length for the XL large bike (needed to make long custom aluminum rails for the small bike). The low voltage BMS trips at ~9%, and is easy to reset by turning the battery off via the key and back on again, then charging. Has done well in the snow as well, lots of snow, without any trouble. I’ve also attached a Rambo R180 cart to the top back rail and haven’t had any trouble towing a few hundreds lbs with it. Being able to keep my frame bag and have a battery locked beneath the top of the rear rack instead was the key factor that lead me to this one. The seller has been very quick to respond with my questions and concerns, even months after purchase and has been very helpful. It’s been a good setup, and I’ll replace the battery with another UPP battery when the time comes.
I was getting a stimulas check so i upgraded my walmart mt bike $180 not sure if this would work with a voilimart 1000 watt kit. Jesus was i wrong i weigh 235 and it moves anywhee 30 to 38 with some pedeling .i had to upgrade the breaks the rear pads were litteraly smoked after a couple of runs .this kit also has a key tailight and carring handle well worth the money and the bike now can keep up with tour de france riders😄
It does rattle and bounce and going to glue strips of rubber sheet trying to eliminate it. The screw heads on the mounting plate are scraping the bottom of the battery box. The battery does not need to be removed to charge so why not some set screws to take up the slack in the slide??? Otherwise am happy with it - am on the second charge and have gone 30 miles and it hasn't been at half charge very long. Am looking at maby 50 or 60 miles out of it on a charge....
