Below are some critical reviews about ECOTRIC Electric Powerful Throttle PackagesThis is a nice bike and seems like it will be a comfortable ride once I solve the PROBLEMS.First, the bike arrives mostly assembled. This would be great if the manufacturer hadn’t assembled the front brake line incorrectly. The brake wire was threaded behind the front fork (see picture) and under the frame. There is no way this occurred when I installed the handle bars. The brake had to be removed to be corrected (see picture).Second, the parts that need to be assembled should be easy to do but weren’t. Partly because of issues like the brake line and the pretty worthless instructions. I couldn’t find any assembly info on the manufacturer’s website or any videos online for this bike model.Third, the quick release lever for front tire was missing (see picture). This means that the front wheel can’t be properly secured. When I tried to call the manufacturer to get a quick solution I was directed to a full mailbox that seemed to be someone’s personal phone. Other available means of communication would take 1-2 days for a response. In the end, I ordered the parts.Follow up: The manufacturer responded and explained that my bicycle has the new quick release without the lever and requires an Allen wrench to tighten. I explained that having to use a wrench negates the “quick release” concept.Fourth, the fenders are junk and we’re scratched. I’ll be ordering different ones.Fifth, just realized that front brake line is attached to right grip. Normally, the dominant hand controls the back brake to avoid flying over your handle bars in a sudden stop effort. I’ve swapped the brake lines.Follow up: The manufacturer explained that the wiring was a safety choice, since when using the throttle it would take too long to let go of the throttle and brake. I say, put the throttle on the left handle and my rear brake on the right hand bar. Time for another swap.For now, the bike sits in the garage while I wait for a new quick release skewer to arrive.
