Up until a year ago, I didn't even know an electric bike was a thing. Ever since then, I've wanted one. I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself this for Christmas. I absolutely love it – it is so fun to ride! It pedals just like a real bike, so there's no chance of being stranded anywhere. It's easy to use once you learn what button does what. Even just as a bike, it's a high-quality mountain bike that is worth this price. The fact that it goes 20mph just adds to my enjoyment level. I'm overjoyed with this, truly.
I bought this bike to ride with my two sons. We live in very hilly neighborhood and I haven't ridden a bike in years because of the steep hills. The bike was packaged very well (lots of protection in the box). Everything needed to put it together was in the box. Once it arrived, my young sons helped me put it together. It was much easier to assemble and took way less time than I expected. I bought this particular model because of the option to use it with just the throttle. Once we got it together I charged the battery, and we immediately began riding. It is actually much nicer and way more fun than I expected. The quality of everything was surprisingly good. The assist controls are easy to set (even while you are riding) and the bike just works amazing! The only warning I will give is that it is so much fun you just might end up with several of them (my whole family wants one now). If you are considering any type of e-bike you will definitely not go wrong with this model.
My husband absolutely loves going for bike rides. Really really really long bike rides at that. Me? Well i love it a whole lot less but did not want to miss the time spent with him doing what he loves. Insert my need for an electric bike. I can bike normally with him till i can't stand it anymore in the normal mode. Once I'm tired or he hits a hard incline i can flip to the assisted mode and it feels like I'm just riding normally with an assist from the motor. Then when I'm really done trying to keep up with him i can flip to fully motorized mode and let him pedal til his hearts content while i sit back and let the bike do the work for me.Assembly was very simple as it comes nearly pre-assembled and i was able to complete the assembly by myself with the instructions included as well as the video included on the page. It only took a handful of minutes even installing the motor which was pretty impressive. The bike includes a 250 watt high-magnification brushless motor and a 36 volt 8AH removable lithium-ion battery. It can reach speeds up to 20 miles per hour on straightaways and run for about 50 kilometers without needing charged. It has 21 different speed gears making even the most rugged of terrains bearable. It only weighs about 50 pounds so it's no issue for me to maneuver or carry if necessary either.
