Below are some critical reviews about Vilano Comfort Shimano Speeds Wheelshey guys, great bike the picture didn't match though but the bike they sent me was better than the picture. it was black and white with all white rims. I believe the description said dark forest green but oh well. I put the bike together myself in about 30 minutes. just need to put handlebars seat and pedals on a bike that's all, but I still took it to the bike shop just to make sure. they charge me about 65 dollars to redo the whole bike. before I put in the shop the bike was okay but after I got my bike out of the shop the bike was great. cadillac of all bikes great buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID - You're probably like me and did some light research online. Everyone tells you to buy these bikes because they're a steal. Well, the bike is junk. The brakes needed adjustment when assembled. The seat clamp never worked right. Then the back tire/hub broke in the middle of a ride after owning it for less than 3 months. I had ridden the bike for less than 200 miles total. Neither seller nor manufacturer were willing to do anything about it. Vilano said they only cover parts for 30 days AND only if it had been professionally assembled. Never buying from them again. Bad customer service, bad product.
The bike came well packaged and I was able to assemble it from the reasonable instructions.It seemed to ride fine, until.....after I rode this bike only about 20 times, when all of a sudden, while riding it, the pedal just fell apart (see image).I wrote to Vilano and asked them to please replace the pedal(s). I was told the bike has "test pedals". I never really got any clarification on what that means or, more importantly, what other parts of the bike as shipped were also "test" parts. NOWHERE before purchase was there anything indicating that the bike had "test" parts. This is not only irresponsible, it's UNSAFE!I would suggest purchasing a bike that comes with real and not "test" parts.
