Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about RALEIGH Bikes Circa Comfort Bike

I managed to buy the Raleigh Circa 1 for $168 here on Amazon during one of their big price drops. What a great deal! Overall the bike is a great comfort bike. The size of the 27.5" Kenda tires are amazing for any kind of easy going trail. Great around the neighborhood, trail, or around the city.Assembling the bike was fairly simple as long as you know what you're doing. If you don't, go on YouTube or to your local bike shop. The only real problem that halted the build was the headset cover. The headset cover was made faulty by the factory and the stem would not fit inside. So I called Raleigh and they said they were out of stock of that part. They didn't want to admit that it was a common problem and didn't want to offer any kind of remedy. Amazon on the other hand offered a discount so that I could order an aftermarket part and it worked perfectly. I have the silver original part pictured and the new black Sunlite Cone Top Headset Cover picture installed on the bike.Overall the bike does the job with 7 speeds and has good brakes. The medium frame of the bike works for me and I'm 5'9. It's a great entry level bike and serves it's purpose well. It gets 5 stars because I love the bike and Amazon helped out with the issues that I originally had with the bike. Two month update: I've put over 100 miles on the bike and it still rides great. I have taken it on a 35 mile paved trail ride and it was such a comfortable ride. I'm used to riding mountain bikes and road bikes, but I now prefer this bike over any because of the ease of use and how comfortable it is. Still 5 Stars!

Great bike! I made the mistake of buying a big box store bike for myself a few years ago when I started my weight loss journey and had to do the walk of shame to return it when it was not strong enough for my weight (upper 200's). This bike is strong and comfortable! I ride on our country gravel road and on bike paths in parks. I started out with my husband's Raleigh Circa size large and I could not ride more than 3 miles tops because I was so sore on my bum because the seat would not go down far enough, but now that I have a proper fitting size bike (size small) I am not sore at all with 5+ miles. I'm 5'6, female and decided to go with this instead of the step through because I like how this looks. Plus this bike is discontinued so I got a great deal! Let it sit in your cart for a couple weeks and check it each day. Mine went from $290's down to $220's and I pulled the trigger! Does not come with a kickstand. Seat is very comfy and shifter is as well. Perfect bike for a beginner riding trails and streets. 7 speed is perfect for my basic riding and helps me get up those occasional hills without having to walk the bike!

I love this bike. Fits me perfect, I'm 6'2" . Color is a dark grey. Easily assembled it in about 30 min. Quality components. Shifts great. Way more comfortable than my mountain bike. Would recommend. Nice 27.5" wheels too .Update- almost 8 months later and this bike is holding up great. I added a headlight and a water bottle holder.
