Below are some critical reviews about Ebikeling Waterproof Electric Bicycle ConversionLikes- works well, not too bad on price, fairly simple install. My kit was supposed to come with lights which were not shipped but seller stated he will send them out. Apparently the description should no longer include that it comes with lights.Dislikes-it is for a fat tire bike but you may have to do some mods for it to fit. My frame must be slightly wider or something because the hub on the rim is narrower than what the Mongoose has. I had to add spacers between the hub and frame to make the brake disc to line up and center the wheel in the frame. Also had to space the brake caliper for proper alignment which required longer bolts.Overall, seems to work well, very quiet but haven’t done any long term rides yet. Would have rated higher if it came with all advertised and it didn’t need modifications.
i had this kit installed and the controller didnt work, they sent me another one, it didnt work either.....now they dont answer the phone and want me to wait on an email.........this should tell you all you need to know about ebikeling, im glad this is amazon
I think in between 7 to 10 rides the motor seized up a little bit and wouldn't work

Update: I have this system and installed and running on my fat tire cargo bike project and all I can say is wow. I’ve ridden a couple other bikes (one radpower and one Dillinger kit) and this motor has way more power and much better top speed! Motor only I can go 28mph on the 93lb tank of a bike. Running 2 multi star 6s 20Ah hobbyking batteries in series so 50v. I rode 23 miles the other day and hardly pedaled. Still had 43v left (minimum is like 38v I think)! Love the look and functionality of the display and the handlebar buttons look and feel great. Push mode when walking my bike on the beach is killer. It even has cruise control! Could not be happier. Thanks ebikeling! The only issue I have now is how jealous my girlfriend is.... looks like I’ll be needing a kit for her next.Original review: Fantastic customer service. Have not finished my build just yet but the parts look very nice. My wheel arrived damaged but with one email and a few pictures I received a new wheel in 2 days. I really appreciate their quick response and excellent service. I also really like the screen and handlebar controls with this kit. Looks great.
Instead of spend $3,500 to $4,500 for one of the name brand e-bikes for hunting, I elected to build one of my own. I went with this product because of the waterproof wheel hub. I have not gotten the chance to take it into the woods, but definitely look forward to next hunting season. Overall the project was not overly difficult to do. Some detailed instructions would have been nice, but the videos on the ebikeling website worked well enough. I will say the battery ebikeling recommends is the 20Amp Hour battery, and its big. I haven't found any dislikes, but will update if I find any.
I ordered this kit as well as the 1200W 700c kit for a road bike, and I love them. They’re well made and thoughtfully put together. The customization capability is tremendous.I’ve been able to get the 700c bike up to 30 MPH and the 26 Inch fat tire bike up to about 28 MPH with throttle-only. (I’m about 215 pounds.). Note - I do not recommend riding at that speed regularly although the fat bike handles the high 20s with greater stability than the 700c bike.Make sure the 48v battery you use has at least a 25 Amp continuous discharge (1,200 Watts = 48 Volts X 25 Amps). Many 48v batteries out there are designed for 250 or 500 watts.Customer support is great too. Through my own carelessness not greasing the axle Bolts, I stripped several nuts. I reached out to Ebikeling via email just enquirer about the axle nut size (M14 X 1.0 MM pitch by the way), and they offered to send me replacement nuts for free without even asking.Updated to include pictures with proper fat bike fenders, which is essential for city commuting in any wet conditions/puddles if you don’t want your clothes to get messy...
