Reviews
Below are some critical reviews about Mongoose Title Micro, Mini, Junior, Pro and Expert BMX Race Bike, 20-Inch Wheels, Beginners to Intermediate Riders, Lightweight Aluminum Frame, Internal Cable Routing5 star value 1 star quality control need to have professionally assembled upon removing from the box cranks wouldn't spin ( chain overly tight ) upon spinning wheels found the bearings overly tight adjusted bearings still rough serviced both wheels neither had grease after a service to the wheels would rate the wheels as ok (ready to race) tires are high quality for the price point ! Fork and stem are a little heavy but ready to race. Frame is of considerable quality (I was impressed) Bars and brakes are what you would expect on an entry level race bike, cranks are very heavy .My take away is you get a $200 dollar frame $50 dollars worth of tires ,and a whole lot of other parts. Please have it assembled and serviced by someone knowledgable and we will see you at the races.
I bought this for my son as a race bike after I bought a title pro XXl for myself. The quality of parts was actually a little better than my XXL. I was very impressed with the frame, tires, and cranks. Unfortunately, when I rotated the headset it was grinding and stiff. Some one else reviewed this and had the same problem. So beware the headset may need some work if you get one. I chose to return it as it wasn't worth the cost/hassle to buy a new headset. Overall I like the bike, but would pass on the 2017 model (black) unless you plan to put a new headset on it.
Great light weight aluminum bike. I believe it's too small for my 10 year old boy. The seat and post were absolutely hideous and I had to buy an aftermarket set just so my boy can fit. The neck and stem doesn't adjust either for height, so this is another complaint about fitting. My boy was within height specs for this bike with 3-4 inches to grow, but now I'm wishing I would have gone 1 size up.
Quick shipping with prime. However the frame has a hole in it. This is no good. Looks like they burnt it to hot while welding.

Maui wowwie was this a good purchase. For a mere $247 bucks this bad boy was a no brainer. When I saw the price and the specs I just couldn't help myself, I had to give this one a try. I smashed the button to purchase my chromoly and aluminum Steed and waited patiently by the door. Days past...only 2 of them, but they were the longest, loneliest, coldest and darkest days I've witnessed in recent memory. I only say that because I never knew what I was missing without this bike in my life. With the vision of every passing delivery truck that I could see from my front window I could only wonder how much longer it would be until my new dirt wagon of freedom would arrive. Finally I could see a light at the end of the tunnel as the FedEx driver sauntered up to my front door, giving me a headnod like in the movies when a real "G" sees another real "G" (real recognize real), he must have just known. This dude right here just picked up the best purchase of the 21st Century, a brand new Mongoose Title Pro XL. The darkness was over, my days are now spent basking in the glory of all that has been created by the Pacific Cycle company. This thing shoots straighter and faster out of the gate than a Winchester rifle on a calm day and carves the berms like a Ginsu Knife! Not gonna lie I think it's even making the hair grow back on my bald head. Ladies and Gentlemen what we have here is Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth and a SpaceX Rocket all wrapped up in one. Do yourself a favor, chug a Red Bull and hit the track cause Mongoose is back!!!
To preface, I grew up in the bicycle business. My family owned a chain of bike shops, even sold Mongoose back when it was BMX Products. Except for the seat/seat-post combo. I live this bike. It is well build, well spec'ed and pretty lightweight. You could do some entry-level racing on it (as I was hoping to get my daughter into). It assembled easily and is of bicycle shop quality. The seat/seat-post combo, although it could have been a decision about weight savings and race-ready brings about the same problem that one-piece systems always have. the angle has to be perfect for you or it stinks. It is good for race-day, and why I didn't knock any stars off, but as a product manager on a sub-$200 unit, I would have gone with a traditional clamp.
After watching crazy Al Cayne's review of this bike 100 times( thanks Al for the great review!!), I finally decided to buy it.First impressions...the bike was packed EXTREMELY well!90% assembled so no need to take it to a bike shop.Read the manual, it contains important and helpful information. As for performance, the bike is light, smooth, and FAST!!I took the decals off, and the bike looks just SICK!If you've been reading/watching reviews about this bike, don't hesitate like I did.Buy it!Thanks again to Crazy Al for his review. And thanks to Amazon for the great customer service and fast shipping.Cool runnings!
We now have 3 of these, a junior, a pro xl, and a pro 24" cruiser and all 3 of them are absolutely fantastic bikes. We race all 3 every weekend and its so awesome that we were able to get the family involved for less than $1000. Mongoose really did something awesome here. Looking into a title pro elite now.
