Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about UPP Offical 72V Ebike Battery

Bought it last July it worked well for about 4 to 5 months then started cutting off power and I had to turn off and on to reset back would immediately cut off again I was contacted by company because I wrote a bad review at first they tried to get me to fix it at home but I refused because I know if I opened it anything wrong would be my fault so they let me return it and they said there was nothing wrong but would replace it anyway and did and here it is 4 to 5 months later and it's doing it again but while I was waiting for them to replace the garbage they are selling I bought a generic uncased battery of equal power from ebay for less than half of this and it still works great they company will even make it custom so you can get it in the shape needed for your bike and with this kinda money you can get a bigger battery so it will go farther or faster

When I received the battery and I pushed button to check how much power it had in the battery none of the lights showed up so I thought it was completely dead I plugged the charger in pushed the button again and then the light showed that it was almost fully charged so I fully charged it. Plugged it into my scooter and found out there was something else wrong with my scooter so I unplugged the battery turned the power off on the battery and set it on my table so I can work on my scooter in the morning. I got up in the morning push the button to check the power and none of the lights were on again. So I plugged the battery charger in the battery started charging only the lights never came on it charged until the charger showed it was green which been a full charge I pushed the button to check the charge and all the lights came on. However the battery sat there all night should not have drained any power at all and it did drain I had to sit there and wait for it to charge. I did not get my scooter fixed so the battery sat there not plugged in all day until the next morning where I again checked the charge the battery and again the lights did not come on so I plugged the charger in again and it started charging which it should not have drained at all. Then the lights would not come on at all. Now I've checked the battery every day sometimes the lights come on sometimes they don't it's defective but everyday it drains power why is it draining power when it's not plugged into anything the battery is defective.

My UPPBATTERY it last me for almost 2 weeks working very good, riding around the city and suddenly it was taking days to charge and it charge only half way and it last less than 15 minutes riding the bicycle. Maybe is the bms or the batteries but now the battery is just sitting on the corner.

Below are some positive reviews about UPP Offical 72V Ebike Battery

This battery came in perfect condition, so no issues there. I was a bit disappointed with its range (15-20 miles with a 40 amp controller). I was hoping for more, but what can you do. It fits a large frame Northrock xc00 snugly, leaving no room for anything else. One thing to note, the battery isn’t waterproof out of the box. I had to add rtv silicone around the edges in order to make sure it didn’t let any water in.The charger seems to be good quality , and I’m impressed at how fast it charges the battery. One big thing to note: the battery bms is a 60 amp bms, BUT don’t expect this battery to handle 60 amps constantly. The cells themselves in this setup can only handle about 40 amps continuous collectively. So I wouldn’t run it with anything larger than a 40 amp controller. This is why they state a max wattage of 3360w (84x40=3360). I dropped a star off because the description is deceptive and running it at 60 amps could start a fire.

I selected this battery as a balance between capacity and performance vs price for my Mongoose Hitch ebike conversion (Luna/Bafang BBSHD kit, required an XT60 to Anderson adapter to connect the battery to the motor). I've only had it for a week, so I can't comment on durability yet, but the performance is great! I've got a 36 tooth Luna chainwheel and a 11-34 8sp DNP Epoch freewheel, was looking for a compromise between hill climbing capability and reasonable cruising speed. So far, so good. My tests on moderate hills in the bluff country of SE MN have been very satisfying, the battery provides enough punch to comfortably climb all of the hills I have encountered at good speed. I tend not to overstress things too much and use lower gears when appropriate. I went up a steep gravel road , ~1/4 mile ascent, in the Zumbro River Valley in 4th gear with pedal assist consuming 1000W at 10-13 mph in the steepest section, pedaling easily at ~90 RPM. I could have gone faster using the throttle to unleash up to 1500W. Also, I still had 3 lower gears I could resort to if needed, so I felt that the bike could handle a lot more yet. It will get its chance soon in CO and NM! In terms of range: I had extrapolated a range of 54 miles to get down to 20% battery capacity (45.4V) based on observed voltage drops on a couple of 13-17 mile rides, using various assist settings and the throttle (which enabled a top speed of over 35 mph drawing 1500W! I can't pedal fast enough to help out with that, it has to be way more than 120 RPM. My limit of effective pedaling is ~25mph, which seems reasonable to me.) Then an actual measurement: I accumulated mileage of 52.9 miles on one charge -- and the battery was still at 49.1V (~40%) according to my DPC-18 display reading, the battery gauge said 50%. I was mostly using pedal assist in the 200-500W range, with occasional use of the throttle for a little boost going up hills or measuring wide open top speed (did this a couple of times). On relatively level terrain with no wind I consistently ride 20-25 mph in 8th gear, pedaling comfortably with an intensity that my 68 year old body can maintain essentially indefinitely. The bike fully equipped with battery weighs 71.4 lbs., the battery contributed 13.4 lbs. of this. I weigh around 180. This battery with the BBSHD is performing as good or better than I had hoped, I am so far very happy with it! We'll see how it holds up, long term.

I live in ohio with lots of hills and go over lot's of potholes and get a little over 30 miles of range with one charge going 20 to 30 mph the whole time. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to charge all the way up with a 4A charger depending if i let it die completely or not. It takes less then a dollar to charge!! I try to leave it at the lowest of 30% to keep the battery in very good condition. Some people say the plastic breaks easy but it doesn't, it depends if you strap it on the bike properly or not if it'll start to break. You don't want a lot of sagging in your straps they need to be tight and straight. I did a great job putting it together and it hasn't broken a bit. I Highly suggest this battery.
