Below are some critical reviews about Mountain 21Speed Bicycle Suspension CommuterFirst off I notice these are very heavy frames. I also assume assembling but we bought 2 bikes for the kids and both sets of wheel are way out of alignment (not tru). So I couldn't properly setup the brakes until getting Tru.Then I thought the rear derailer was bent because at highest gear it's hitting the spokes. I went thru the gear cycles and 100% hitting at full turn of the rear gears. This is pretty dangerous for kids a full speed playing with gears.We adjusted and fixed the issue. But for non mechanical parents this can be a bad issue.
It was not what I expected, when I opened my order everything looked fine, but unfortunately, some parts that join the handlebar with the bicycle frame were broken and it did not allow it to be assembled, I had to make the return and I am waiting for a response , therefore I cannot buy another bicycle and I will be more careful in selecting products
So just got this bike and it came 85% assembled. However the parts I needed to assemble were mostly easy to handle.Assemble issues were the seat set screw for quick adjustment is missing. Still looking for some contact information to get a new one.The seat post wasn't going into the tube more than a few inches due to a bur on the inside of the tube. Luckily I'm handy and have many tools. Used my curved file to smooth the 1/8" bur down to let the seat post go down far enough into the tube for the seat to go where I needed it.I also had to adjust everything! Shifters, derailleurs, brake levers, and brakes.After all that tool of forna quick spin and it was fine... just annoying to have to spend over an hour adjusting everything.

When buying this bike I was on the fence… but great bike no issues at all, picked on a great deal for $161 can’t ask for anything more.Buyer keep an eye out prices change all the time.
Love riding the bike. The amount of effort needed for the final result, however, was full of pain and emotional anguish. I broke the chain on my first ride because there is a plastic rim placed in between the wheel and the derail-er gear changing mechanism. I have no idea why there is such a plastic piece, there are no warnings anywhere about said plastic piece, and cutting it off was ridiculously difficult. I had to order another Hiland bike, and with the knowledge and experience I had from assembling the first bike, still took me many grueling hours of adjusting the brake pads, handlebars, and seat to work acceptably. The seat is also very small and will most likely make your butt sore for a few days after if you plan on sitting on it during your ride. Now I still have to deal with returning the first one that got completely destroyed during my first ride.All that aside, it is very fun to ride and is one of the few things that allows me to enjoy this sub - par excuse of a life I live.If you are not a complete loner like I am, and can actually get someone to help you, assembling the bike can have the potential of being a fun and fulfilling experience; and riding it has boosted my confidence greatly with the feeling of freedom I have achieve through all different types of environments.
The shifter doesn't work as it should. It is also a very bright neon orange . The ad said it's red. It's definitely orange. I like orange so I was happy when I saw it was orange. Not happy with the shifter.
