Below are some critical reviews about MotoTec Hooligan 60cc 4 Stroke DirtReceived the bike in less time than expected, great. But once we opened the box we noticed the scratches on the bike (pictures attached). I reached out to the seller, they advised me to contact MotoTec since the bike is shipped directly from them. The response I received was unacceptable, when they told me well the bike is going to scratched when it’s rode and falls. I completely get that, but not to receive a bike we paid over $800 for and arrived with scratches already on it. Then they blamed FedEx, saying it was damaged during shipping, although I disagreed, I made a claim with FedEx, which not to my surprise they denied my claim. Now granted it’s only some scratches and doesn’t effect the operation of the bike, I just shouldn’t have to pay full price for an item that shows visible cosmetic damage. I was told to go to the local hardware store to find the closest match paint and paint the scratches. My granddaughter hasn’t had a chance to ride the bike yet so I can’t comment on the operation/durability of the bike yet.
Update: absolute waste of money! Runs horrible, if at all.Just took the bike out of the box to assemble because this is a Christmas gift. Could possibly have something to do with shipping, but the kickstand was broke completely off. Horrible weld. Oil has leaked all over the bike as well, hoping the sticker stay because of this... so far not impressed but will keep you informed when my little guy sees it on Christmas morning. I can tell you right now he’s going to be slightly disappointed because it won’t have a kickstand like his dads does.
Bought for my son, assembled fairly easy, wouldn’t start easily and when it did the idle was so fast you couldn’t control the bike and it would take off.I have requested some resolution. Hopefully a good update follows.

I got this for my 9 year old son to replace his electric one. I assembled it Christmas morning and it wasn't too hard but there are some things the directions don't tell. Be very careful unwrapping the front caliper mine fell apart and I had to reassemble it. There is a choke hiding under the body on the right side. The battery can be charged it comes with a port that matched our razor motorcycle battery charger but didn't come with it's own cord. To start it you must depress the right brake. The fuel governor you have to look at twice off looks like on. I also had to stretch the front bracket that hold the front fender. After that you have a nice little bike. My son has been riding it for 2 days straight now.
Good little starter bike to get your kid interested. Bought this for my 10 year old grandson to get him off PS4 and out the house. Assembly not to bad. Missing a few parts but I emailed the company and their great customer service sent them right to me.
Perfect size and power level for my 8 year old. No regrets.
