(original review up top, updated below)After some hesitation, I finally picked up an ebike around Prime day. With the coupon, this was just about the cheapest ebike around, and after owning it for a month, I can honestly say I'm in love. It's so easy to ride, has a long battery life, and performs beautifully on roads and trails. It's lighter than I expected for an e-bike, so I can still lift it onto my car mounted bike carrier without too much difficulty (though I have to remove the battery for the rack arms to insert). The range and speed make it a practical option to replace most car trips under 10 miles (when I don't need to ferry a passenger or cart a lot of stuff). In short, I'm loving my new commuter option, and plan to use it almost daily. I just wish more people did this, so we could have a few less cars on the road with me.It was not difficult to assemble. It was about as difficult as putting together flat-pack furniture. As far as accessories, I've added a light, front fender, rack, bell, phone holder, and mirrors. There is no mount point for a traditional water bottle holder, so I have one that attaches to the handle bars. I have a strap-on rear fender I can attach if needed.UPDATE: I've had the bike for 2 months, and it's become my primary mode of transit, as well as a great way to have fun. Yesterday the charger suddenly stopped working without warning. It's got a unique charging interface and no one sells it, not even Miclon's own website. The bike has a 12 month warranty, and I've reached out to them through Amazon. If they'll send me another charger, I'll update this review again. But I'm very disturbed that the charger only worked for 2 months. Granted, I ride a lot, but I don't think I've charged it more than a handful of times. It really should have lasted longer. And once I've had the bike a year, there's no warranty. Take my advice and make sure your next ebike doesn't use a proprietary charger. There are plenty of generic chargers on the market. Find a bike that works with one. That's what I wish I'd done.

Edit: the bike not starting was user error. It’s now working as it should. I haven’t used it enough to gauge an accurate review, but I am going to leave it at three stars for now because the instructions I received were 100% missing steps.Also, the mechanic said it’s pretty much a regular bike with an ebike battery and motor.I know other reviews said it’s easy to assemble but as someone who has never assembled something like this before, it definitely is not. The instructions are certainly missing steps.The handlebar won’t turn the wheel.Oh and there’s the small matter of it not starting. I charged the batter overnight but it won’t start.I’ve taken it to a professional but they cant guarantee they’ll be able to get it to work.If it gets to working and I can see how it runs I’ll update my review.

I’m 5’10, 175lbs.The bike melts hills but when they get steep, the bike still needs your help with the climb (although not very much) so don’t expect to just use the throttle up the hills. The 300W probably goes up hills with pure throttle no problem.I got the bike for exercise so this is fine for me.The front tire was slightly bent on arrival, which I had to true using a rim truing tool I bought.I have replaced the seat and pedals, as it comes with cheap versions of both. (they had to cut costs to offer this at $650-800) I also added a saddle storage pouch and a phone mount to keep stuff from falling out of my pockets while I ride.The shock absorbers are decent, and a shock absorbing seat is a great add on for around $30. Woodsy trails are doable, but don’t expect to go rock climbing with it.The brakes are good, not great, when trying to do a hard stop from 25-30mph. Good luck to you if you accidentally bump the brake rotor while using the bike, it’s white-hot after a few stops. Leaves a cool scar but I don’t recommend it. Maybe a rotor guard would’ve been nice. I wouldn’t have had to reach down to adjust my wheel if it came from the factory straight.The brakes are still squeaky two months in.The throttle is limited to about 21mph, but if you pedal hard it is very easy to hit 30mph on this bike. 30mph on the bike feels controlled, but not utterly safe. This isn’t a Tour de France bike, so expect some shimmy at speeds that high. I’ve hit 36mph downhill so far and didn’t really want to go faster on something so light with B- brakes. Having straight wheels out of the box would’ve been awesome, and it was packaged very cleverly, so I’m not sure how the wheel would’ve been bent in transit. Do not yank the bike out of the box, as a previous reviewer showed himself doing just that, then complained about a bent wheel.Tires are par for the course, better than what comes on most bikes out of the box, and they look more expensive than they are.Battery lasts forever on a three hour charge, I have yet to kill the battery on a normal 20-30 mile ride. This differs based on how much pedal assist you use. For the best battery life, keep it between 20% and 90%, as this is where batteries like to live for the longest lifespan.Level one gives you a nice 5mph boost to get rolling.Level five gets you to 21 mph as fast as the bike can handle.The motor after two months has started making some noise, but still works. I wear headphones 90% of the time so it doesn’t bother me. The bike is garage kept and not ridden in the rain - I’m the guy that keeps the chain oiled and checks the tire pressure before riding - so why the motor is making noise is beyond me. I’ll take it apart after the warranty and update the review if anything is broken.Assembly was decent, took about a half hour. Another hour or two tweaking gears, adjustments, and brakes, but I’m picky.The screen it came with is a different version than shown, but with the same functions.The gear shifting isn’t clunky, but I wouldn’t call it smooth either. Like any bike, don’t shift it under load. I’ve found it easiest to just leave it at the highest torque setting with just a little pedal assist to get me rolling.Definitely a value for the price, but makes me wish I got a better model for an extra $1000 somewhere else, or at the very least went with the 300W model for a couple hundred extra.I got tons of crap from my kid and my significant other for buying this, two months in they both want one as their Walmart bikes they insisted on buying at the same time are falling apart and I can go for much longer rides. (Told ya!)TL;DRIf you want an eBike under $1000 that will do the job around the trails and suburbs, with maybe a few small modifications to make it more comfy, this is it. If you’re looking to do hardcore mountain biking up expert level slopes on an eBike with pure throttle, save another 1-2k and get a better one or just get an electric dirt bike for a similar price. A 350w “BAFANG” brand hub motor (preferred for quality, efficiency) played a role in why I chose this ebike.This is basically a normal China made mountain bike “shenzhen meiqing technology co, manufacturer” with a motor and battery added, which is what I wanted, not a strange looking contraption like some are.Frame is aluminum. Overall quality is ok and price is nice. Frame isn’t very large, which is cool for shorter people but if under 5’ 2” or over 5’ 10” it might not be optimal fit. Bike weighs ~48.5 lb w 5lb removable battery.6 different electric modes, 0 thru 5.Mode 0, twist throttle active, limited at 20mph, pedaling optional.Mode 1, low power pedal activated assist to 6mph, over 6mph no assist. (You can still go fast as desired on muscle power)Mode 2, same as above to 9mphMode 3, medium assist to 11 mphMode 4, stronger assist to 14mphMode 5 maximum assist governed around 20 mph. The twist grip throttle can be used in modes 0-5 to apply a booster as desired. It’s actually a “Half-twist”, outer end remains stationary which gives good control on rough surfaces compared to full twist or thumb throttles.bike senses crank rotation and activates boost till you stop pedaling, with a 1-2 second delay. Applying brake will cut power instantly. Battery has an on off switch but no usb outlet to charge phone etc like some do. The 10.4ah battery is charged using the included 4.0a charger, this translates into a full recharge in approx 2.6 hr.I would suggest also considering the Heybike brand, or possibly Ancheer brand similar quality bikes as an alternative, there is the possibility that parts are more readily available for them, at this point I’m not sure if replacement batteries are available yet for Cybertrack 100. (Update 6-11-22 a replacement battery is available on Amazon from Miclon Direct for $399🤑😬, trip ODO can NOT be reset to my knowledge, those that have researched this issue say the Metakoo (this bike appears identical as Metakoo Cybertrack 100 w different badging) company have locked the controller in an effort to avoid tampering with the speed limiter, which affects ability to reset trip, so there are 2 odometers that read the same mileage for the lifetime of the this bike was previously sold on Amazon under the Metakoo name, not sure why the name change. Also available from Metakoo Online. Plus if you enter “cybertrak 100” in the search bar, you may notice this same bike is being sold under numerous other brand names at different times, that popularity may help ensure there will be parts available in the future. “Shenzhen Meiqing Technology Co Ltd” is shown as manufacturer on frame sticker.At any rate no ebike at this price will be perfect, it does run good. It’s actually a good bike for the price, 799 is too much, when I purchased there was a $150 coupon to apply. At the same time the Cybertrack 100 was also available from Metakoo online for $649, and my Miclon Cybertrack 100 shipped from NJ and arrived in good condition. 3 metric Allen wrenches are included which are needed to assemble it. The front brake disc needs installed on the wheel with 6 allen screws, and wheel installs in fork with a quick release skewer after removing shipping brace bolt from fork. 4 screws attach handlebar. Seat and pedals to install. Guard over derailleur. If you have previous bike experience it’s intuitive. Every nut and screw on the bike should be checked. My handlebars came loose about the 3rd time I went on a ride, taking the allen wrenches along may be good idea the first while.Battery capacity is adequate but I don’t currently have mileage numbers, partly because it’s harder to keep track when the trip ODO won’t reset😉After 225 miles still like it, I don’t tolerate seats without springs so it got one, main adjustment I would wish for is a larger chainring, there are 3 on the crank, tiniest one not needed on ebike and the largest one has you pedaling pretty fast at 20 mph setting, it’s 44T and should be about 54T for a more relaxed cadence in my opinion.

I bought one of these and was impressed by the mechanical quality for the price ($699 plus shipping). Then I read about problems with electrical quality which I did not (and could not) see. I looked at the price of a new battery and charger, and it was a large fraction of the cost of a whole new bike. So I bought another MICLON Cybertrack 100 as a spare and for parts. So now I have two good working bikes at a good price but with unknown electrical quality. The Cybertrack 100 has a 350W motor which is good power for cruising on level ground, but the power is weak for going up hills. I have another electric bike (cost was around $1800) with a 750W motor, and the power difference is very noticeable on a hill but does not matter on flat ground. My other electric bike is too expensive for commuting because I am worried about theft. So anyways, I have two Cybertrack 100's that seem good mechanically and electrically. I don't know the electrical quality but I have a spare for a backup and parts. The Cybertrack 100 is very good for commuting on mostly flat roads at a cost that is not too much of a loss if the bike is stolen. So I am pleased with what I have now.
