Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about Electric Cruiser Removable Lithium Ion Commuter

I chose this bike after thieves made off with my old one😡. I bike to work & had to leave my bike outside. This bike is smaller w 20 inch wheels and folds. So I figured this would be great. That I cud keep my bike safe by bringing it inside my job!PROS:The bike gets u from point A to point B reallly fasttttt👍The shiny black paint job is eye catching. I also liked that this is collapsable. And the bike rack comes in handy for biking with something cumbersome. The smaller wheels & frame also makes it easier for me to manuver into & out of buildings!CONS:I'm big n tall so I've shyed away from smaller bikes. So I had to get used to the smaller wheels & cruiser frame style. But I will say if your my build, u will have to buy a wider seat to feel more balanced/ secure as a bigger person. A wider seat made a difference making the ride wayyy more comfortable for me. When u select high speed, this bike goes fassst. So you don't want to lose your balance from improper seating!!!While the front light is great. The rear taillight should have been electric too. The bike comes with a bell which is odd for a ebike. You need a buzzer horn that pedestrian and motorists can hear & see u coming!!!Also....when changing a flat and u flip your bike upside down. Be mindful of the speedometer is on the floor. The screw latch broke on my speedometer. So now I have to see if I can get that repaired.😒

Bought this bike in October and this bike battery is the worst. Work as promised in the first month, but after it dies faster and faster each time. I ride this bike every day to commute to work from my house which is 2.5 miles. Now the battery can't handle going one way. Would say stay away and get a different e-bike.

Not a terrible bike but the reason for 3 stars is-1- the tire tube blew out after only riding about 10 miles and was no debris in it tire was fine the tube simply split. Was definitely a cheap tube. Easy fix but annoying.2-the disk brake was bent so it would rub. I messaged the seller and they sent another one for free only after messaging them several times and waiting a month.3- it only holds about 17 mph at top speed. I have a cheaper e-bike that does 21 and has odometer and speedometer which this does not have. Overall it works and my wife likes it but definitely not super high qualityWe also replaced the seat since it was hard and uncomfortable.

Below are some positive reviews about Electric Cruiser Removable Lithium Ion Commuter

The bike itself showed up in pretty good shape. Itc was fairly easy to put together if you know your way around a bicycle. As someone else noted, the front bearing race was WAY too tight. It took a couple large wrenches to get it loose. The paint looked good. The tires look cheap, but held air.Unfortunately the battery doesn't work at all. The charger indicates that it's charging for about an hour, then the green light comes on, but the battery shows that's it completely dead.I contacted Vivi early Friday morning by email and at about 1pm received a message that they are closed for the weekend. The front brake rotor is also bentI'll update the review when I hear from Vivi and can actually ride the bike.UPDATE:On Monday the company responded with some advice, which was to turn the key on. That did the trick. I didn't see anywhere in the manual that this was necessary to check the battery charge, or that the lock had an "ON" position, that was the confusing part. The battery will blink red if you press the power button while charging in the "OFF" position. Anyway, the bike works now. Both rotors are warped, but the front is quite a bit worse than the rear. I rode it anyway, and it was super fun! Lots of power. I easily went up a decent hill with just the throttle. The build quality is similar to a Huffy, which is what I expected. The tires look cheap, so I ordered new tires and tubes. Overall I'm very pleased. The control system is a bit finicky. Even in low gear, the bike will give you too much power. Not great for assisting, but if you just want power, it's got it.The Shimano shifter is pretty poor quality, though it works. I had a hard time getting it tight enough to stay put on the handlebars.UPDATE (again):This bike is just too fast in its lowest setting to ride with someone on an analog bike. I'm working with Vivi to buy a controller and display that will hopefully make it useful for the family. If you just want to go fast, it can do that nicely.I also replaced the seat as others have talked about. It's terrible. Just plan on replacing it when budgeting for the bike.

I had started looking at ebikes when gas was at its all time high. Even with prices back down, I keep looking and finally bought it for two reasons: I'm single and it's hard to find a ride when my car is in the shop, and my mobility is declining due to medical reasons and I thought this might help me to stay active. Parts were easy to identify, but this required more assembly than expected. I watched a lot of videos and it still took me a long time to assemble. I'm still going to need to play wth the handlebars and seat. There isn't much of an owners manual, so once I had it together, I wasn't really sure how to use it. I'm a bigger person with a large belly but short. Even though I'm within the height and weight limits, I was uncomfortable trying the bike. It really is a heavy bike, so maneuvering it took more effort than a normal mountain bike. I was afraid to try it because I saw a review that made it sound like the bike would take off quickly, and I was afraid of getting hurt. I ended up having my sister try it. She agreed it was a very heavy bike, but she was able to get the pedal assist working. With the throttle, you need to rotate it towards you. If you rotate away, you need to continue pedaling. I was able to get on and test it out finally, and it will work for the purpose of short trips. I'm hoping to get the seat adjusted so I can enjoy trips on the bike trails. My main reason for the review is to let buyers know if they have mobility issues or are in the shorter/larger side, this might not be as easy to use as they would like.

Exact detailed assembly instructions or video were hard to find. Instruction book was too small to properly see illustrations. Poor quality control as shipped. Front wheel would not turn because bearings were bound up and over tightened as if an air-gun was used. Wrenches included stretched and were unable loosen nuts. I borrowed some large wrenches to fix problem. No pictures or video on how to install the style taillight supplied. The way the power cable was installed it had to be removed and rerouted. Front disc brake assembly was bound up and frozen. I freed it. It took more time to assemble than it should have. Price went down a week after I purchased it. On-off switch on handle bars has to be worked on and off several times to actuate power (it must be defective).
