Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about Mongoose Racing BMX Bicycles Title Pro XXL

Bought this cause I couldn't find a beginner XL race bike under $300. For the price the frame is great. Good geometry and stiff. Made of 6061 Aluminium. The bad...Hi ten forks and bars make front end heavy. Brakes are garbage and swapped with a set of tekro linears. Swapped seat post with a 350 mm aluminum FMF along with an Oval concepts race saddle. Tires are great for this price point. They will go up too 100psi. I run them at 80 to 85. The wheel hoops are decent made by exposure and are double wall. Problem is the hubs are very cheap and unsealed. I have creaking in the rear wheel and will swap with a set of sealed Skyway Mags soon. Cranks are surprisingly strong and stiff. Will keep them on but steel sprocket needs to go. Bottom bracket is cheap but works fine. Freewheel is also no name but works fine, may swap with an ACS once I get the mags. All in all its a great "Starter" race bike and has potential to be great once you swap the componets.UPDATE: 8/19/20Now have had the bike about a week and only a handful of laps done on it. Sprocket is trashed. Stressed at the crank bolt and warping. Rear wheel and freewheel trashed. Hubs are hollowing out in the rear amd will not stay tight. Chain is junk. I'm 180lbs and should handle me fine. Such junk componets its not funny. I just ordered $260 worth of parts just to get this bike up to par and able to ride with out worry of safety. Like I said before...only good is the frame and tires.

Bike cranks, bottom bracket and chain ring broke in pieces after riding it for the 3rd time

Only thing of valve out of this bike is the frame you can get for 150 on mongoose other then that the complete bike is trash

I'm 5'11", 240. I wanted a BMX, even though I'm 46. That's what I always liked to ride back in the daytime. I don't want a 24" cruiser BMX.I'm elated with this purchase. This bike will last decades. I won't have to get another bike if I don't want to. It fits me just fine (21.75" top tube on the XXL version). It doesn't feel small, it feels like the perfect BMX for a really tall youngster or a big old, big-body cat like me. Public service announcement: you're not supposed to spend too much time on the uncomfortable seat it comes with, you ride a BMX standing on the pedals for speed, shock absorbtion, balance, and all that. I still bought a seat and a layback seat post (27.2mm) for when I get tired. You don't need a tool to adjust the seat height.I want to ride this thing all the time. It's TOO fun. And it looks so good (the stickers were easy to remove). This bike is worth the money. Knowing what I know now, this has got to be the best value out there for a brand new bicycle. This Chinese factory is the real deal. I had to send a Diamondback back before taking a chance on this 'goose.

Bought this bike for our son and he loves it. It's pretty lightweight, but not the lightest bike I've seen in this size. It's durable though, and from what I can tell, the welds look solid (compared to some cheaper brands). It was also super easy to put together with a couple of wrenches and a set of hex wrenches. Had it together in less than 30 minutes. The only thing I hope they eventually change is the saddle. It's painfully hard, and because it's permanently mounted to the seat post, there's not way to adjust what is undoubtedly an uncomfortable seating position. My son kept complaining about how it smashes his... erm... coconuts. So if you buy this bike, be ready to buy a new seat and seat post, preferably one that is adjustable.

I would like to say frame, bars and fork seem very nice and sturdy. Bars are actually very nice and frame feels great. Wheels are good hubs are not rear hub absolutely junky. Sprocket was bent pretty good chain kept popping off busted my knee. Other then someone just getting into racing it’s a solid bike for sure definitely recommend it but just be ready to get better parts on it. Job well done mongoose!!! I’m glad to be back in racing with the company who got me my very first win in bmx. Mongoose forever!!
