Below are some critical reviews about ECOTRIC Electric Bicycle Powerful ThrottleThis bike I bought for my wife, It came and I set it up and went for a test ride same day. It moves off quickly so be careful. This bike frame is strong and would be a keeper if not for a few safety issues;1. (Safety) The front hub to tyre connector is too thin to keep the weight. (Look at the 2nd picture and 3rd pic to see my other bikes hub which is much safer.2. Also it doesn't travel above 18mph on a straight road (slow).3. In the first picture you can see my 250w e-bike from Cliensy with digital control, lights (f & b), reflectors, a horn, USB port cost almost $700. All of that is missing from this seller Ecotric 350watt that only came with a basket and back carrier. which cost over $720.4. The cheap plastic fenders don't protect you from splashes or particles flying in your eyes from the tyres.5. For some reason the motor was doing a start stop thing for a while, not sure why.6. Finally the Ecotric battery gave me 4miles of complete riding today before it was down to two battery lights. My Cliensy went 12+miles before reaching half battery and that is with climbing small hills too.After talking with customer service about returning it, they asked me to sell it for them rather than returning it. I was astonished.Conclusions is to save your self the problem and check sellers return policy before buying, as you will have to pay to return this one. I will be contacting Amazon tomorrow as this bike is not safe nor is the seller professional and I don't intend to pay for shipping a unsafe, defective product. I wrote this today 5/22/21 after 30days of emails to c/s.You judge for your self.
The bike rides pretty well, the battery seems great. The controls work pretty well so far. It doesn't tighten easily, and the basket ... doesn't really fit easily. But, on my 2nd ride, I hit a really small bump, and there IS NO SHOCK ABSORPTION at all. It was like a hammer hit my tailbone smack on. I did not expect that, as the seat was fine to sit upon. I have been laid up all week on my side, b/c I can't sit down without excruciating pain. A serious bruise,and hopefully not broken. So - get a seat with a spring and a pole with a spring if you get this bike. I don't see why a company would not pay mind to something like this before they sell it. If it weren't for that, I'd give it a 3 star.. maybe 4 so far.
This bike is on the low-end price wise for e-bikes & it shows. The metal parts are steel & are heavy. The fenders are plastic & not wide enough for the tires. The front brake is quite flimsy & needs frequent adjustment. The power-assist only has 3 settings with the default being medium (shouldn't default be low?). With the 7 speeds/gears & power assist riding can be effortless if you wish or leave the power off & you have a regular 7 speed bike. A flaw of almost all e-bikes is they are built for people of average height. At 5' 2" I can ride comfortably but starting/dismounting is a little awkward. If you are of average height I would suggest buying a different brand, the one my husband got is better & in the same price range.

Bike is plenty fast and very comfortable and nice to have the basket. Added rear view mirror and seat for a Beach Cruiser bike and a cell phone holder. Easy to get on and off. Good quality bike !

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this bike, as it had no reviews when I initially looked at it, but decided to go for it anyway.I’m so incredibly glad that I did!There was damage to the bike’s front wheel that appeared to have happened during shipping and after contacting customer service, they recommended bringing it to my local bike shop for repairs and that they would refund me the full cost of any necessary repairs. Communication was easy, quick, and thorough. As far as I’m concerned, they went above and beyond.While the written assembly directions are somewhat lacking and could use some work, I didn’t have much trouble navigating how to make it happen. After owning this bike for several weeks now, I’m thrilled to say it has been nothing but a pleasure and I underestimated how much I would love it.The throttle is great for navigating downtown traffic, and the different levels of pedal assist are fantastic for cruising around. Going uphill is a breeze and I feel like I could be on this thing all day.All in all, I don’t think there’s a better ebike out there at this price point, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this bike or seller to anyone.
