Only used power assist 1-2, and the occasional 3. Still put in some effort. Throttle for getting going from stops. Power level surpasses expectation.----Very fast shipping on motor and battery. Great communication on the shipping and break sensors I needed.Install was super easy with YouTube videos. Screws are a bit mixed. Some I didn't need, others I needed, but didn't get in the box. Luckily I had them. Most annoying thing was the speed sensor magnet has a security screw and needs a special star driver with a hole. Nobody has that, and you can't do without it. I just had to find a different screw to attach it with. I did have to make a custom cable guide for under the bottom bracket. Will buy one later.Runs great, fun to ride.
It took longer to gather the necessary tools than it did to install. The installation was simple and straightforward. I am pleased with the BBSHD performance. I mounted it on an xl framed 29er and it moves my fat, 300 lb. self vey nicely. I get pretty decent range with the 52v 20ah battery, at around 25-30 miles per charge in pedal assist mode. I top out at 31mph on my Motobecane Fanton 29 with a 42t ring.
