Below are some critical reviews about Vivi Electric Mountain Removable AbsorptionBought 2 for myself and my wife. Tried today - it was fun, especially because it is my first battery bike. But... Let be fair, it is NOT adult bycicle - if you taller than 5'5 you'll have painful time using it. I'm 5'10 and after 3 minutes of riding I had only one desire - to stop and stretch my legs, because I felt like I'm riding child's bycicle. Of cause I adjusted everything to max - but you can't adjust child,s bike for adult. The same for the weight , its seat designed for light weight, I'm 180 pounds and it was torture to ride it more than 2-3 minutes, try yourself and your butt will prove my point. Now about quality - poor, for example - bolt for light doesn't hold it, as the thread was broken just ootb. So, be prepared to fix some problems yourself from day 0, hopefully you are good in fixing things, I'll definitely need it for this bike. Some small things - the battery doesn't feet as on the ad picture, so I have to attach it differently, you will need to be creative - small things will not feet here and there, be prepared. But I guess it is fine for this price, pay cheap get cheap, right?
I have waited several months to give this bike a chance and to rate it. First there are safety issues: (1) be careful when the motor is on. If you are walking the bike and your hand turns the throttle while doing so it is leaving without you. It can also do this when you are stopped at intersections if you turn the pedal while waiting or the throttle. So you have to be conscious of this ...perhaps a thumb throttle would be safer or if throttle was a bit stiffer to turn. (2) If you power down the bike you have no lighting system. Really sucks if you are on a long ride where you are okay having to manually pedal. Also no lit backlight. If you decide to turn the motor off and use manually you will do so unlit which would be unsafe in the evening. I added a light I can depend on. Second the parts are just not strong enough to call it a mountain bike. The guard covering the derailleur easily bent the first time I went down (which is not so uncommon in mountain bikes and I was passing through sand - it happens) the part did not protect and I am still trying to get the derailleur realigned. The front gear system disk rotor is not skew now. This happened during a ride while braking. It began to make a whisk -whisk sound) So the disk rotor is obviously not entirely flat now and it rides through the brake unevenly. This too I would have expected better quality.Flat last night biking over some rocks on trails. If your trail riding these tires are not going to handle it.All in all maybe you could call this a like trail bike, but I certainly wouldn't call it a mountain bike. If that's what you have in mind.... you really are going to have to go deeper in your pockets to get a bike with higher quality.A final word. You ARE going to want more battery. I live in a very hilly area and with a 56 lb bike, you aren't going to get it up the hills without pedal assist. In the pedal assist mode I can just eek out 20 miles using pedal assist (I never use throttle. I generally keep the bike in low the whole time or turn it off in downhill areas to save on batteries. BUT THE HILLS will cost you because of the weight of e-bikes. You will quickly want more battery so you can go further.I have loved my time with an e-bike. But this bike is just not enough.
It is an e-bike. I am not crazy about how the battery is hooked to the bike, but it works. I bought this bike for my daughter to ride with me. I have a more expensive e-bike and now realize why it was more expensive. Mine has a lot more power than this, but it will work for my daughter, for the time being. I don't like the shocks on this bike. It is a strange sensation to sit down and feel the bike frame literally go down as you are starting. It is kind of heavy. I noticed no difference in the weight of this bike and a bike that doesn't fold.

This is our first electric bike purchase and have been very impressed with everything about this bike from buying, the box and packaging, setup, and operation.I have very little bike repair or setup experience. Before purchasing this Vivi model we have used battery powered electric razer type scooter and a buzzbee mobility scooter that uses 12V agm type batteries but have not used or rode on an electric bike or segway before this purchase.Packaging:When this box arrives it is a porch hog! Very large cardbox box with plenty of protective polystyrene wrappings, blocks, and styrofoam to protect the bike. The tools and accessories are located within one small cardboard box while the other box is the large battery unit and AC electrical charger brick with cord. The bike has some many parts that are secured with zip tie and white tear resistant soft packaging to prevent shifting and scratching during transit.Assembly is not intimidating and I only needed a pair of scissors for opening the box and zip ties.I am writing that this bike is no tools required for assembly. You read that correctly NO Tools required since the company provided all the necessary tools to build this bike.Charge the battery! After pulling the bike out of the box, I took the battery from the bottom of the box and plugged into the wall to charge. The large black box that charges the battery will go from Red to Green after about 5 hours.1) Then I used the large and small L shaped hex wrenches to attach the handlebar into the bike and adjust the grips bar to be up higher. There are white etched arrows to show the minimum level for inserting the handle bar.2) The front tire was easy and I did not have to put on the disc brake as stated in the instructions, it only required one of the 3 wrenches to tighten each side of the wheel to the fork.3) I took off the LED light and bar since it was reversed for shipping and attached the front splash fender when placing the light and hex bolt back into the fork.4) Pedals were labeled L and R and used another included wrench to install5) The seat was the most tedious and mechanics or bike experts would chuckle but I placed the rear large fender on the seat post, then the reflector, and finally the seat. I had to tighten both sides of the seat bolts very tight to keep it from moving up and down.6) Final step was to attach the battery pack with the two upper velcro straps to the grip and shifting bars and the lower velcro to the vertical handlebar stem. Plugged in the battery cable to the bike cable and I was finished with the build!Operating and Riding:My son calls this his Tesla bike! I first took it to the office since it was a weekend to test ride and capture some video with my gopro using this wheeled wonder! Only three buttons on the power panel which is the size of a bike computer or cyclometer. the power button is located on the bottom in the middle using the global standard round circle with vertical line for Power ON and OFF. The Minus is on the left to reduce the speed and the Plus button is located on the right to increase. The bike has 3 levels - Low Med and High (fast!)I can activate the motor using pedal assistance mode by pedalling and then the back wheel motor kicks in and moves the tires. There is also a round throttle that is at the end of the right handlebar grip that I can twist like a motorcycle. This is full motor with no pedaling required.The power panel has 5 led battery level indicators and after 1 hour of riding in both Low and High modes it only used 1 bar. My break in riding included some steep wet grassy hills from the recent winter snow melting and 8 times of going up and down a two-three story deep driveway and sidewalk.Storing and Transporting:The bike is not lightweight and that is probably due to the heavy duty frame, large motor, and battery pack. But I can lift the bike to place in my trunk or the back of our minivan. The bike folds in half by unlatching the bar and using the latch bar to pull up and release the locking pin. The bike is folded tire on tire so I do not have to place on a bike rack.
Assembly was fast and easy, just bolt on pedals, seat and handlebars with the included toolset. Rides well, though there is a shimmey when braking. I'm trying to diagnose t h with issue but cannot find the problem bc the rim and brake disc both appear straight and true, could just be some oil or grease on the brake disc. The suspension is too soft for my personal liking, but I ride hard and wrecklessly. Bike Folds easily, but handlebars do not fold to make it more compact for fitting in a car trunk. The battery life seems mediocre but is acceptable... I. To be fair, I only use the top setting and seldom pedal on my own for a daily transit to work and back. The pros on this bike are it's compatibility. Front and rear suspension, front and rear disc brakes, fully adjustable handlebars and seat to fit nearly any size rider. The cons are all relative to certain specifics an average passive rider is unlikely to encounter. All in all, this is a decent bicycle for a great price. It's like getting a steak for the price of a hotdogs. It is an excellent buy for a first delve into the electric bike world.
I love my new bicycle! I ride this thing every day and I look cool doing it too -its a clean, minimalist body design that puts me on a bike from the future! I don't need to think twice when I'm coming up a hill. Playing with the power output levels is quick and simple. I'm on a low setting just cruising around and a quick press of a button puts me in high when I need it to (around here, often).This thing looks really agile and it is, but it not light. That's really my biggest complaint: it's heavy. That said, I've largely mitigated this by keeping it somewhere else, not upstairs anymore. I have not had much occasion to carry it since then.It's a really great value for the money, a more than fair price for a bike that looks cool and futuristic and will power your movement with ease. I'd say that for anyone looking for a new bicycle (barring being an elite athlete or something) that you definitely buy an electric bike, and as far as electric bikes go, this is the best value I could find.I have no regrets about this purchase and whole-heartedly recommend it. Thumbs up for Vivi!
