Below are some critical reviews about Mountain Lock Out Suspension Hydraulic Disc BrakeBought 2 bikes, and both of them arrived broken. The bikes are not the problem, Amazon ships the bike with the manufacturers box. NO additional care is added before shipping it. The box is too thin and the bikes are too heavy.Mine arrived with a BROKEN brake, scratches, dents and yes... missing tools and parts.Too bad! Beautiful bike, terrible service.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!Bike ships defective. The left pedal wouldn't secure to the bike. The bike is unusable. Does not ships with product specific instructions on how to build. Once built the gear shifters will not function.
Really easy to assemble, very nice looking bike. But... I had to buy another seat with tube, because the tube is too loose inside the frame can’t tighten it up. The rear sprocket guide needed to be adjusted, still there is some weird noise. The pedals are very bad quality, the edges sharp as a knife, I replaced them too. Front brakes caliper needed to be adjusted, was still dragging for a while, finally broke in. I’m 75, mechanic all my life, so to me it was easy to fix it, but I advise to take it to a bike shop to set it up. Also the I bought a stand too, the original was ridiculously poor quality. So you will spend probably another $100 to get it going.

My bike was delivered yesterday and I finished assembly this morning. Took me about an hour to put it together, a few adjustments and a 10-minute test ride. Bike looks nice and so far feels solid. Once I've ridden it a lot more I will make sure to update my review.Likes: Fairly easy assembly using my own tools, although the bike came with tools included. Compared to similarly priced bikes this Hiland 27.5 looks nice and so far a seemingly sturdy entry level MTB with lots of neat features for the price. The frame looks solid and durable. So far it rides smooth and stable, although from the noise I'm hearing the rear derailleur needs to be tuned, aligned or calibrated - right now shifting is not as smooth as it ought be. Other comparative models I looked at: Royce Union RMT; Schwinn High Timber Adult; Schwinn Hybrid GTX; Schwinn Knowles; and the Sirdar S-700. I decided based on price, features, reviews and immediate availability so I chose this Hiland 27.5.Dislikes: 1) The bike came in inadequate packaging and could've been padded and protected more while in shipment. As you can see from the photos the box is punctured and the rear wheel quick release axle locking lever is scratched and gouged. There was plastic shielding to protect it but apparently it dislodged in the box. The left crank arm has quite a few dings and scratches from coming into contact with another metallic object. 2) The two plastic cable retention clips were loose out of the box, one actually fell off - I will need to replace these with zip-ties instead for better cable security. 3) The kickstand bolt was loose. 4) About the biggest negative I can say is the use of seemingly cheap materials on the brake handles and left and right shifter mechanisms. Both front and rear drivetrain assemblies and the pedals look cheap and of lower quality compared to Shimano drivetrains. The seat saddle does not have enough cushioning and feels stiff and uncomfortable.
Not sure what folks complaining of a lengthy / difficult assembly are on about? The bike arrives already mostly factory-assembled in a large cardboard box. Assembly is attaching the handlebars, pedals, front wheel and the saddle. Wheel and saddle are both quick-release so super fast to install. Other than a squirt of air in the tires, that was it. Brakes, calipers, chain and gear mechanism didn't need touching. Bike feels solid. Forks are nothing special but at this price point, I don't expect them to be. Brakes are great. A good purchase.
Really nice mountain bike for the price . Was missing one small part . The clamp used to connect the seat , and it needed a tune up right away . Otherwise no issues but just bought it so we’ll seeUPDATE REVIEW 11/2/2020contacted seller about the missing part and also that it needed a tuneup. We produced recipes and the seller credited that amount, so I feel like the customer service is good. My son took it for a mountain bike ride and he liked the way it handled
