Reviews
Below are some critical reviews about Max4out Mountain Featuring Suspension Anti SlipA great looking bike in the pictures, but in reality, it's a very poor quality bike. The fenders were paper thin, warped plastic, and I bumped the rear fender when getting on the bike for the first time and the fender snapped off at the base! The brakes have zero stopping power, even after a few days of bedding in. The "Shimano" gearing appears to be some Chinese knock-off copy...it broke within 2 days of use. I have requested a return/refund but no response. Glad I bought the 3 year warranty.
This piece of garbage is not worth it. I can't even begin to express how mad this makes me. Im gentile with it and have been buying parts to replace the stuff that has been breaking on it since the first week of owning it. I bike to and from work about 1.5miles one way. I just got all the replacement parts in after leaving it in my garage for the last 2 weeks and the frame bottomed out.Im a member of the US navy and gotta say I am feeling cheated out of my money right now.
Ordered this the end of may. Was told it would arrive in July but it came way sooner so bonus points for that. The shocks and the frame of the bike seem to be of good quality. Tires are a little skinnier than I was expecting but hold up fine under my 250lb dad bod. The fact this can fold in half is very convenient being I don't have a bike rack for my car. Bike came with a cheap pump and a decent lock. Brakes are weak and need adjusting. Gears also need adjusting. Right peddle also makes noise when peddling. All in all not a bad deal if you don't mind working on it a bit. I also suggest replacing the seat with something more comfortable because the one that comes with this bike is horrible.

I bought this bike on Amazon because there was a shortage of bikes under $400. Target and Walmart didn't have a decent bike in stock-- they said people were buying them because of the quarantine--it was a way to get out of the house and exercise. It took forever to assemble this bike, something I had never done before. Seriously, how hard could it be? It would have been easier, had there been instructions that were not translated from Chinese to English, by someone without much of a command for the language. I ended up watching YouTube videos to learn how to do it but could never get the brakes to work, or the gears. The easy-release front tire hardware scared me, so I bought an upgraded one. Finally, after putting it together, I took it to the bike shop to get the brakes and gears working and inspect my work. That was $70 well spent. I threw away the fenders because they were flimsy and cheap. They sent an extra set of peddles but I bought new ones because theirs seemed cheap and we're oddly angled. After paying $300 to get the bike, I spent another $200 on service, new pedals and safety gear. I use the bike to ride around my hood to get some exercise. The folding feature is awesome, btw. It's an okay bike. I wouldn't ride it off-road.Would I recommend it? Not in good conscience but it's not bad for what I'm using it for.Update March 26, 2021: I am loving the bike and it has proven to be exactly what I wanted. I love riding it.Update August 1, 2021: Still loving it and enjoying riding it almost daily for exercise.
One of the biggest reasons we all buy stuffs on Amazon is that rest of mind that we can get a replacement, missing parts or refund with a little effort if for some reasons we have issues with our orders or we just don't want them anymore. I really like this bike. It looks gorgeous, attractive and sturdy. I had issue with the faceplate and contacted the customer for assistance. They're very responsive and addressed my needs according.
My husband begged me for this for Father’s Day. It is a nice bike and it folds I. Half to fit in trunk but the directions sucked Big time. They were written in microscopic print and showed directions for 2 different models which both we’re not the one we ordered but we figured it out thanks to years of putting together kids toys and bikes. Some people will get really frustrated and may lose their cool while trying to figure out the directions which are also given in one sentence per step and almost no pictures.
