Below are some positive reviews about Hosote Folding Suspension Mountain High Tensile I didn’t set out to buy a foldable bike, I was just looking for a bike that I could take to work and leave there occasionally, so I was looking for something inexpensive yet useful. It turns out that getting a folding bike works out perfectly for me because my issue was transporting the bike to and from work when I can’t always dedicate the space in the car or truck to the bike. This folding bike is very convenient that way, and even when I do leave it at work, it takes up very little space.Anyway, the folding mechanism is incredibly simple; it’s one hinge that has a quick-release lever and a locking pin. You need to release the lever, turn it out and then slightly lift the pin to set the hinge free, at that point the bike just folds in half.I am very comfortable with bikes in terms of their assembly, so putting this one together took me about 30 minutes, and then a few more minutes to adjust the angle of the handlebar and tension on the brakes. However, even if you’re not used to working on bikes, this one comes with really good instructions on assembly. I was surprised at how detailed the instructions were, and even how they refer to specific components correctly to guide the user.One thing is that when installing the fork and headset, the manual references several parts that are not present on the bike… At least not obviously. I think what happened is that some of the parts are already built into the headset (like the sealed bearings) and are thus already installed. The way my bike arrived, the fork only had 3 spacers, 1 compression washer, and 1 dustproof washer with the rubber-ring already attached to it. But everything I needed was indeed there, it’s just not reflected in the instructions. Everything else is described very well, and they even give good tips on how to install and adjust the disc brakes.The bike rides very smoothly and I’ve had no issues with it at all. In fact, I didn’t even need to adjust the derailleurs, they were already well-tuned to the gears. The suspension rides a little softer than I would like, but then again I’m probably just used to my old hard-tail. I really have nothing but nice things to say about the bike. It’s a lot of fun, a definite conversation starter with anyone you meet in the parking lot or on the trails, and it’s easy to store and transport.
I live in a not too big townhouse and wanted bike for joy rides. I have to say, had no problems at all and this bike was very sturdy one. Took about and hour to put together, not too bad. Was easy to put together. I like that this bike is the perct size and was unisex.
