Below are some critical reviews about Pacific Sport Mountain Bike OrangeThe bicycle is reasonably priced, but requires some work to get it set up for riding. I was hoping that the manufacturer would have taken more care in pre-packaged setup. But after about an hour of work, the bicycle works, and the kid is riding along happily.Here are some comments.1) the bicycle is packaged well, although the 2nd wheel was lodged between spokes. One must exert care to not bend a spoke with the unboxing.2) the frame is solid, and the suspension works well.3) the main nut under the handlebars was too tight, and one could hear and feel the bearings grind when turning the the wheel. That nut needed to be loosened and lubed better.4) the seat stem hole in the frame had lots of burrs, which scratched up the stem upon assembly. Just a little care to use a deburring brush in the hole, would have been an easy fix for the manufacturer. There was no lube provided.4) Pedals assembled well and were solid.5) the brakes needed to be adjusted significantly. The pads are decent, but one of the adjustment screws was stripped, which meant a lot more work to get them properly seated.6) the derailer also needed significant adjustment. The gears were not setup properly, and so there was a fair amount of adjustment for setting the tension and getting the gears to adjust fully. Again, this is something that the manufacturer should have at least mostly setup so that the buyer didn’t have to.All in all, an ok bike, but be ready to do some work to get everything to setup. I believe that the manufacturer should have done some preliminary setup prior to packaging so that it is easier in the buyer. 5 mins extra in the pre-packaging process would save the buyer over an hour.
Where to start?! Very excited when I saw it arrive and only had to do few steps to assemble but...then come the detailsRear frame not straight and one arm appears longer where unless I bend the frame I can't get the wheel to align without rubbing on the brake. Off by more than 0.25 inch.Wire for changing rear gears in the same slot as the other wire which is definitely not how it should be.Disappointed to say the least.
It was delivered with a defect and took my husband quite a while to fix it. The chain was off the rail and totally stuck between the rail and the part of the peddle closer to the bike. Hard to explain. It was either put together that way and sent, of it happened in shipping. My guess is during assembly. Big thanks to my husband for being persistent and getting it unstuck. They are Christmas gifts, so don’t know how they ride, yet.

Ordered this for my son’s 12th birthday. Amazon delivered on time and it came mostly out together which was awesome— no messing with the break lines or chain etc. y husband was able to finish the job fairly easily although be aware that the instructions are generic for more than one model ad it confused my husband because some of the instructions were already done for us— so if you get confused, it’s because it is steps that the factory did ahead of time. It is the perfect height for my kiddo at 5’ tall, and he has room to grow and raise the seat so it should last him for a while. I’m assuming the quality is good— he’s only ridden it for about an hour and he isn’t experienced with shifting gears yet, so I’m going on an assumption here.
I rarely write reviews but thought I should for this bike. The box came with no damage unlike what others have said. After removing the bike from the box it only took me 30 minutes to have it ready to ride. After a few small tweaks to the brakes the bike was perfect! It was well worth the money and I think it will last my daughter many years!
Brakes are awful and seat is hard, otherwise it seems like a decent bike.
