The bike arrived 3 days early, its well packed and easy to assemble.The bike is 95% assembled, wth high quality parts. Save the money by doing yourself. I have 20miles on the bike and its awesome. The hill that I usually climbed with my old bike at 8mph with the NCM E-bike at mode 2 It clocked 14mph with same effort. The throttle maxed at 22mph, but I rarely use but good to have. The cheapest E-bike locally cost $2300 with less features. Im glad I found NCM on my research, this is the best kept secret bike with all the bells and quality, with price you cant beat. Keep it up NCM, highly recommended.After 200miles + I love this bike. The motor is great, though the bike is heavy as in all e-bikes, you cant feel it. Mostly i'm in mode 2 after 30miles I still have 4 bars. This is a great buy.
I have ridden this bike for 3 days. I am very happy with my purchase. In assist mode at its highest, I can regularly be riding at ~25 mph on flats and slight inclines! It does 20 mph in non-assist mode. I did my first recharge after riding 40 miles and it still showed 1 bar of 4 left. What's more I had been trying to purposely deplete the battery riding under full assist up steep hills and in non-assist mode @ 20 mph. The battery would not die.I live in an area that is extremely hilly. So, I am really enjoying assist mode. Hills that I used to have to climb at 10 mph or less I can go up at 20.The components seem to be good quality across the board. Nice suspension fork. Good derailleur and lifter. Wheels seem strong and glide will when not under power or peddling.Only complaints: it is heavy at 60 pounds making it difficult to peddle without assist. You will not want to run out of power if you still have to ride any distance. Also, the brakes are not as good as my mountain bike's straight mechanical disk brakes. I think the brake pads are at fault.Overall, I am really enjoying this bike and very happy with the purchase.
The bike itself is very nice, and most of the problems I've had so far are due to my lack of experience with bikes in general. My only real complaint is that after about a week I've had 3 flat tires, and now that the back tire has a flat I have to remove it in order to replace the tube, which for someone new to ebike's is no easy feat, Especially since the bolt on the rear tire is too large for the tools the bike came with. I overestimated how durable the innertubes were because it's a mountain bike, I figured I could ride off road with no issue. I will not be going off road until I get puncture resistant tires/inner tubes. Despite having issues with the bike myself, im still giving it 4 stars because the battery life is great and it is a very nice bike!
