Below are some critical reviews about Wallke Electric Mountain Removable Professional

I wanted to have something that I could roll around town and also load up into the Jeep to do some trail rides while off roading.Since this was going to be my point of entry, I wanted something on the affordable end of the spectrum. I use the term affordable loosely. Spending $2K is not an easy decision when you have to be budget conscientious. But compared to some of the other off road bikes out there like the recently released $6K Jeep ebike, this fell somewhere in the middle of the pack. That being said, I also needed it to be capable. So with that in mind, I knew that I wanted at least a 750W motor and ample run time. So the 14.5 battery pack was a deciding factor for me. And big tires with front and rear suspension to soak up some of the rugged terrain. This bike arrived decently packaged, but still got some damage through shipping. There were also some minor defects that made it past QC. So there was some incomplete powder coating, some scrapped powder coating. And some bent spokes because the front wheel is shipped with the pedal sticking through them. The entire assembly is a breeze and they even provide most of the tools needed. Only tool you will need of your own is a socket for the headlight bolt. While having a folding bike might seem like a great feature for travel storage, it was not a concern for me since I just put the whole bike on a 2" hitch cargo basket. That being said, folding and unfolding this bike is a cinch using the sizable locking lever and retainer. The thumb throttle on the left handle is easy to operate. Stepping up and down the three PAS levels works well. The throttle is not instant on. The start and stop delay is due to use of a cadence sensor. It's minor and not bothersome. The rear brakes hand lever is also on the left side. The brakes also cutoff the motor so you're not fighting the motor as you brake. I swapped the brake hoses so the right is rear and left is front. The brake cut off connector did not need to be swapped. The center display is bright and easy to read in the sunlight. All the information is clear and well laid out. Accessing the advanced menu is done through pressing multiple buttons at the same time. This display looks a lot nicer than the standard LCD displays found on most ebikes. As for the overall weight, it's a heavy bike. With tires that rival that of a small car and an 14AH battery pack, that's expected.Speaking of batteries, contrary to what I've read about the latest builds, it still rattles badly. I used a few layers of F1 tape to reduce the amount of play inside the battery case. This is a known issue and for $2K, that should have been addressed by the manufacturer by now, not the customer. Also, while the battery charge port has a plug, it is still exposed to the elements via the hole through which the sliding lock pin engages. Though the contacts sit on the upper part, it seems like water creep could still occur after a stream crossing and heading downhill, trapped water could make its way up. Also, there's no gasket on the mating faces of the hinged opening.Aesthetically, I got the desert tan color and that in itself looks great. The rest of the bike suffers from a big case of branding gone awry, including dot com lettering. It's a rolling billboard. Holding some goof off against it for 30+ seconds will dissolve the lettering. The tires have tiny tread blocks with just a small bit of side bite on the edges. Not sure how many ply the walls have. They seem to grip pretty well and ride softly. I've put them at 30PSI as recommended. The headlight is pretty much to increase visual signature rather than forward illumination. Though the reflector looks like it would throw a spot pattern, it surprisingly diffused like a flood. Speaking of throw, the distance on these isn't enough to match the speed. At 30MPH, you won't be seeing far enough down the road with this headlight. It should be swapped out or supplemented with a handlebar or helmet light. Though there's not much room left on the handle bar.I spent $2K on a bike and it should be ready to go. When I spend $30K a car, I don't expect to have to fix it before it's ready to go. Unlike modding a vehicle for performance upgrade, throwing money at it to fix it is an issue at this price point. They seem to be excited about the beadless seam welds(you can see there are still weld beads by the pedals), but that doesn't add to functionality. A battery that doesn't rattle, a headlight that provides some throw and better water protection would be a small fix from the manufacturer. That and better QC and improved shipping protection.Update: I ran over a branch of thorns and had three punctures. So the tire and tube are not puncture resistant. Repair was easy enough using vinyl wrap squeegee to break the bead and some standard patches with a good squeeze of slime. Tannus armour might be a good investment if you plan on taking this off road. And I did have to re-center the rotor afterwards which is to be expected.Update: Upon further inspection, there appears to be some disparity between what is advertised and what is delivered. Not sure how the manufacturer will address this.

Hi everyone, just wanted to quickly post something if you are considering purchasing a Wallke bike. DONT DO IT!! Look elsewhere. The motor on mine broke right away and have received no help at all. There is no phone number to call. They hardly respond to emails, and when they do, it’s someone from another country in the middle of the night responding. Don’t get put thru the ringer with the NONEXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE Complete waste of money and a trash product

Wallke advertises 750W motor, but if you removed their sticker, it clearly states it is a 500W motor (see picture). It is a total deception so buyer beware of this. Posted it on their FB page to get it resolved, they removed the posts! Nice bike, but motor is not what is stated!

I spent months researching ebikes and chose the Wallke. #1 reason: Features, full suspension, folding, regen and cruise control with 1000w! #2: Customer service. Having equipment sourced and assembled half way around the world, you have to expect some issues. Wallke has been so on top of making sure their customers are satisfied I decided to buy. Search electric bike review Wallke forum. I ordered mine on Thursday and it arrived Sat! I was amazed. Flat Black BTW with copper logos and copper shock towers is awesome! I bought a few things to make mine a bit more comfortable, seat, grips etc. (You always have to "dial in" a bike) and contacted Wallke to clarify a few things (buy a spoke wrench and tighten your spokes. Makes a big difference) and I have put over 200 miles on it in maybe 2 weeks? The best moment was wrestling with putting it on my old hitch mounted bike rack when I suddenly thought, what are you doing fold it! On the road 10 seconds later. I have ridden this bike for hours and have never gotten the battery below 70% so far and I live in a very hilly area. I am completely thrilled with my purchase and am 100% sure I made the right decision.

I haven't had much time to ride the bike I've only Ridden the bike 14 miles So far it is excellentDespite the fact that it arrive with a missing part no big deal customer service is excellent I felt sceptical in the beginning because of a bad reviewI would not pay too much attention to that review on Amazon the bike is brand new the packaging was amazing it arrived packaged Excellent I had a smalle issue with the alignment on the bike no big deal Robert was excellent he acknowledged my concern ask for video Uploaded the video saw the problem sent me a new part the bike is extremely powerful the pedal assist is also amazingDoes not take much power to pedal and the bike automatically helps you it does get a little sketchy when you're going up a Hill but then again it's not a motorcycle it's a bicycle it does help you go up the Hill very easily depending on the Hill the seat is not too comfortable then again nothing is perfect the suspension is amazing the ride is very comfortable Enter bombs and cracks on the street does not interrupt the rideThe brakes do squeakI spoke to the company and they told me to send him a video as soon as I have a chance to take it for a ride at the park than I can possibly record the squeak and they will send me brand new breaks for a bicycle it is amazing It breaks excellent it accelerates very quickly and my weight is currently 260 pounds that is pretty heavy When you fold the bike and try to put it away it is a little heavy so if you are not a man and a woman is going to purchase the bike just be awareBike does weigh approximately 63 pounds with the battery insideI would definitely recommend to a friend I will definitely update this reviewAfter I ride the bike for proximally another 60 or 70 miles

Glad I finally bought one, great bike and lots of power and fun. about 2 month old now working great.
