The best thing I like is having the full electric mode. I'm a senior adult so pedaling the bike can be difficult but with a twist of the throttle you can get going before you start to pedal. As for weight limit I'm 10 to 15 pounds more than the max and I have no issues with it. The only thing I wish is that the seat was slightly back for a better pedal position plus having the ability to raise the handle bars. Over all when I bought it was a descent price. I paid $699.95 and now it has doubled in price. I would recommend it for an alternative to a regular bike. Also the battery takes up to 6 hours to charge.

The Swagtron EB-6 provided this senior citizen the confidence to ride a bicycle again. Part of my road is gravel and has a couple big hills, so I was fearful that I could not make it on a regular bike. After a relatively fast and easy assembly (just handlebars, front wheel, and pedals) I was on my way. The battery charges fast. To keep it topped off out on my campsite, I charge up the NEXPOW Portable Power Station, 178Wh Solar Generator Lithium Polymer Battery Emergency Backup Power Supply with 110V/120W(Peak 150W) PD 3.0 and AC Inv (see photo) with a 50w solar panel Renogy 50W 12V Eclipse Monocrystalline Portable Solar Panel Built-in Kickstand (see second photo), and the EB-6 rapidly slurps up the power. The power station I purchased on Amazon does not provide a full charge by any means, but it's small and light. If you are heavily draining your EB-6 battery, I'd recommend at least a 300w power bank and a larger capacity solar panel. The first day out, I had people both young and old asking questions about the electric bike. It shifts easily, and I mostly do pedal assist, so the battery lasts a long time. I added a basket so I can go shopping. Even heavily burdened with purchases, the EB-6 has the power to get me up some large hills. The fat tires are great on my gravel roads, but they work fine out on the paved bike paths, as well. I hope Amazon gets these back in stock because I'd like to purchase a second bike for my husband.
Wow what a fun ebike!! I have been having a blast on this thing, riding every bike trail that I can find and every street without traffic. It is powerful and seems very well made. I am shocked that this ebike only cost me $700 when most other ebikes I’ve seen cost at least $1000. For the price-quality, this is a serious steal. I am only 5’2” so the 20” fat tires make this bike the perfect size for me. I ride upright on this ebike, but I think most adults would be leaning forward while riding. That’s something to keep in mind when figuring out what riding position is most comfortable for you.The fat tires on this bike makes it a lot more forgiving on loose terrain and gravel. And taking a little air out of the tires gives you a bit more shock absorption during bumps. The seat that it comes with seems decent, but I prefer a lot more cushion so I upgraded it to the one in the picture.I really love the fact that you can take the battery off of this ebike and charge it wherever. This bike is heavy, so hauling it around can definitely be a pain. I installed an alarm on my ebike (pictured strapped on by zip ties behind the battery) so that when I have it locked up in my garage, it will alert me if someone is messing with it.I do have a few concerns about this ebike that I thought I should mention. First one is actually more of a gripe, but the description says that this bike comes with a bell. I received no bell in my ebike box, so that was a little disappointing. Next concern is the power button that engages the PAS and throttle. It is very easy to press on accident and more than a few times I have accidentally hit it with my hand or knee. Not knowing that the electric assist is engaged can be dangerous, especially if you are riding near motor vehicles or taking a turn. I definitely wish the power button was more difficult to press, or perhaps a 2 step process to power on would be better. I will still give it 5 stars, because it has surpassed my expectations in every other way.Overall this ebike has been worth every penny. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner!
I just answered a bunch of questions, so I'll write a review to sum it all up. First of all, this is a great little bike for $700, but you do get what you pay for. Let me break it down..What you DO get: Quality, it's really well made, this alone made it worth 700 bucks. Huge tires. Sure, the rims are only 20", but with with the fat tires it rides higher and feels bigger than a bmx, actually closer to a 24" mtb. A throttle (twist grip) & pedal assist, with enough power to move my 220lbs along briskly, although starts are a little slow unless I pedal assist. A smooth ride thanks to the balloon tires, and great traction in the dirt at 20mph thanks to the way these big balloon knobbies smother the surface and dig in. FUN, lots of zippy fun.Now, what you DON'T get. Size. It's a youth sized frame. At 5'9" it's a little small for me. I can ride it fine due to the big tires, but if I raise the seat up all the way to get a proper pedaling angle, then the handlebar is too low and close to be comfortable for long rides. This could be easily fixed by installing an extended riser headstem, but only for riders less than 6 feet. She's a stiffie. Theres no suspension whatsoever, so you'll be counting on those big balloon tires to smooth things out. The easiest fix, albeit a minor one, is to get a suspension seatpost. This will increase the comfort somewhat, but will add a little to the seat height (32"). I found a Pasak 20" suspension fork (for 4" tires) on ebay for $120 and it works great! Power and range is very usable, although I push it at 220lbs. If you use the pedal assist whenever you're accelerating, and throttle only to cruise and maintain speed, then you'll be tired of having fun by the time the battery is dead. That being said, it's only a 36v system, so steep hills or a heavy rider would show its limits.UPGRADES: The Pasak fork was cheap, easy to install, and made it off road ready. Replacement batterys are plenty and reasonable, it just takes some research. The battery is a standard design used in many applications, you just have to match the base and volts (36v). I found a landcrossers fish 36v 10a on Ebay for $170, and it fits perfectly. It's a little taller so you have to raise the seat a little, but it has a little more juice, so it lasts longer. Thumb throttle. I got a generic one for $10 and just spliced the wires into the twist throttle and like it better for extended rides. DIRSA Back rack. Cheap and fits great. You can use the slide lock hardware that comes with the extra battery to lock it onto the rack.IN SUMMARY: This is a great little fat bike, and it's easily upgradeable, its one major limitation is its frame size. If you're under 6' you can customize it to do whatever you need, and if you're under 200lbs you really don't ever need to pedal if you don't want to(except for steep hills). My new Juiced Ripcurrent S is bigger,stronger, faster, but at $2600.. youch!
