Below are some critical reviews about RALEIGH Bikes Womens Circa ComfortThis Raleigh Circa 1 combines the totally upright sitting position and wonderfully comfortable seat of a cruiser bike with the feather weight frame and 7 speeds of a hybrid bike. It's the perfect bike for town or longer touring! All components are very high quality. The lowest speed is so low that you can go up pretty steep hills,and the other speeds along with the 27.5" wheels allow you to ride fast where it's flat. There are some nice little details such as front, back and wheel reflectors, and the chain guard. I don't mind not having fenders. I'm a nice weather rider! The assembly took my husband and me less than 20 minutes. I'm 5'6" and got size small, which fits perfectly. This bike is so awesome, it's like 6 out of 5 stars!
We bought this for my wife to commute to work. Its very upright position is great for short trips. The bike came partially assembled and required mounting the stem, handlebars and pedals, connecting the front brake and adjusting brakes. There were no assembly instructions but I know how to work on bikes. The shifting worked perfectly out of the box. It was a super buy for the price we paid; it was on Amazon Warehouse deals used like new for half price and it still wrapped from the factory and never assembled. The quality of this bike is better than department store bikes.
I've only had the bike for a few days but so far so good! I never write reviews but thought it would be helpful since it took me forever to decide on which bike I would purchase. My friend put the bike together in less than an hour for me so it seems pretty easy if you know what you're doing. It rides really smooth and the gears work great! The only thing is I keep sliding forward off the saddle but it's easy to just sit back up, other than that it's a lovely bike which feels super sturdy and easy to ride. I got a small size and I'm 5,4'.
