Below are some critical reviews about Portland Design Works Sparrow BottleWhoa. This is NOT copper, it is orange. I bought it to match the copper bell and helmet of my beach cruiser bike. Needless to say, no match. Nope. The undertones are off. I had to buy a different one, and I am stuck with an orange thingie I don't want. I can't send it back bc I don't have a printer to print out labels. Bummer.I'm poorer now.

I was looking for a unique bottle cage for my custom bike and this one fit nicely. I really only needed it to hold batteries for lights. I usually use a hydration pack for water needs. Although I wished it were a crow this black sparrow is nice. The other birds designs and colors are also eye catching. I have had other similar designed cages so I am anxious to see how well the wings that holds the bottle hold up. Often this area gets bent from laying the bike down on the ground. Then it gets harder to insert the bottle or the aluminum breaks. They seam like a company that enjoys what they do and do it well.
I really like this cage. I thing it would be really hard for my soft water bottle to fall out of this one. Mountain trails or rough roads are not a worry. It looks nice also, the only negative issue would be that my SS water bottles would get scratched or rattle a bit, so I just use a soft sided one.I have been impressed with every item I have from this Company. Top Shelf Stuff.
I saw this a few years ago and couldn't wait to get one. Now that I have a bike with mounting points for a bottle holder, this was one of my first accessory orders. The frosted silver color looks fantastic on my blue bike.It works well for modest-sized retail water bottles and narrower hard-sided bottles. The wings bend in and out to adjust. Wouldn't want to bend them very often - pick a bottle size and stick with it, and I think it'll last a long time.
