Reviews

Below are some critical reviews about Redline MX24 Wheel Bicycle Black

We got a defective bike! Sending back!

Received with rim scratched.

My son got to just ride it one day. The back tire to popped. Can find the car inner tube 24"x1.60 for it. The tires is real thin. I have bought a few tubes that have 24"x1.50-2.2 and are no good. Need to see if it's better to buy a bigger 24" tire. Might need to change the rim also. I'm in that process. So that my son can really enjoy the bike.

Below are some positive reviews about Redline MX24 Wheel Bicycle Black

I figured I would write a review because I really did not know what to expect when I ordered this bike. I grew up racing BMX and then transitioned to racing dirt bikes, but now I have a 5 year old that I am getting into BMX and so I figured I would get back out there and do some racing since I would be at the track anyway. The only problem is that I am much bigger than my early racing days as I am 6'4" and 265lbs. I looked into whether or not to get a 26" bike or if a 24" would even hold me, but I went ahead and ordered the bike anyway. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed with the look and build quality of the bike. The problem was that when I went out to ride it around the neighborhood, I felt like a 'Fat Guy in a little Coat', I mean the seat is not really useable, the bike did not feel comfortable at all, so my first thought was to send the bike back for a refund. The next day however, we were taking my son to the track, so just since I already had it, I threw this bike in the truck. The first run around the course, I was instantly aware of how perfect this bike is for racing, it was fast, handled perfectly and allowed me to be competitive right away. I also had concerns that the rims would buckle under my weight, but they too were great. I love this bike for Racing, I wouldn't use it for anything else, but love it for racing

This is my first cruiser, therefore I do not have another bike to compare it to. However, I have owned and currently own quite a few 20inch bmx/street bikes. The MX24 feels quite nimble as a it's 20in cousins but just more roomier. This is what i was hoping for. Being in my 40s and over 200lbs, I just do not feel comfortable riding around in a 20inch. For riding around the neighborhood with my kids (the intended purpose), this is an excellent choice. I went back and forth on a few bikes before picking this one. Here are the other bikes i considered:- Redline Proline - I didn't feel the higher end parts warranted the significantly higher price tag- Mongoose Title Pro 24 - nice looking bike but it's a new line while the MX24 has been around for a very long time. Also, the parts seem to be of lesser quality than the MX24First off, the bike is very light. Actually, its surprisingly light (21.55lbs w/MG1 pedals) considering it has a few hi-tensile parts such as the fork and bars. But they function well and do not require immediate replacement. It is nice to know you can probably get the bike to around the 20lbs mark by swapping them out.The reason it gets 4 out of 5 stars is due to the parts that do need replacement. While I understand that at this price point, top of the line parts will not be part of the package, there are some parts that are just not ridable:1. The seat - It's just a thin hard piece of plastic. I get that this is a "race" bike but at some point between motos, you will want to sit down and this seat will simply not work.2. The grips - the grips require gloves and even then, they are very slippery. i intend to replace them immediately.I also swapped out the pedals but the originals seemed ok but I have a new pair of Wellgo MG1 so I installed them instead. This is not a knock on the bike as most stock bikes need parts swapped out and these parts I mentioned are pretty cheap to replace.Overall, the bike is an excellent value so far. I will update the review after I've ridden it some more.Just to give some additional insight on the bike's fit - I am 5'10' 205lbs and I think its a great fit. Also, just wanted to add that, with any new bike, it's best to re-grease and tighten/inspect every part. I was sure to spray the freewheel and chain with lube, while re-greasing the bolts.

Super nice bike for the money. I've wanted a Redline cruiser for like 25 years, ever since my neighbor friend had one and I had bike envy. Now I finally have one! Now that my kids are riding bmx, I decided to get myself something to ride around on with them, other than my mountain bike. This bike does not disappoint. It's fast, light and solid. I'm 38, 5'11", 155 lbs and the sizing feels pretty good, but I also feel like a 26" would be more comfortable..I think I'm going through order the PL26 too :)I'm happy with it, but one star taken off because it arrived with a small nick in one of the rims (showing silver aluminum..rims are black. Packaging was not damaged at all so not sure how this happened), and the seat is super uncomfortable. Be sure if you order this bike you also order a more comfortable seat AND seatpost so you can enjoy riding it right away. I feel like a kid again on this bike!
