Below are some critical reviews about Pacific Stratus Mountain Bike, 26-Inch Wheels, BlueI've had this bicycle for a little over a year and I would not recommend it. The reviews were in the middle when I purchased and thought I would risk it and try out this bike. I have had issues with the tire tubes and brakes as a lot of other people have had. I've replaced the tubes and gotten new brakes to try and help with these issues. I also purchased a new seat because the one that comes with is incredibly uncomfortable. The gears are almost impossible to switch at this point. Everything has rusted incredibly quickly. My main complaint is the inefficiency in peddling. I try and go on a bike ride with my husband and while I'm peddling full speed he is easily gliding next to me. If you want a hard core cardio workout, this may be the bike for you.. but overall it is just a frustrating ride. I would spend a little bit extra money on a different bike so you can enjoy it. With the added money of replacing the tire tubes and seat you might as well get something nicer.
CHEAP ALERT ! CHEAP ALERT ! The very 1st time my wife went for a ride on this bike...ball bearings started coming out of the rear tire hub !!She rode it for less than 1 hour on the sidewalk....avoid this product !!
The gears don't change smoothly and it makes for dangerous peddling! The pedals are too far back and it's an uncomfortable ride. I tried adjusting the seat and handlebars. ....still awkward riding.

Not bad for the price, I was lucky to get my order in before they sold out. Paint finish is very nice and solidly built. Only reason for not 5 star review is; Front tire was not 100% true and had to take it to bike shop for adjustment, cost me $15. Break system not bad but also needed alignment and metric tools which luckily I had. Pedals could be a little better but overall nice for the money.
The bike showed up quick, all the parts were there, the color is beautiful, tires are thick and strong assembly was easy and quick.
Great for relaxing bike rides.
