Below are some critical reviews about VANELL Tricycle Shopping Exercise RecreationIt was late to begin with. Then one of the pedals did not fit when putting it together. Finally, the chain snapped after the second use. Reached out to them via message on Amazon, and never received a response.
The bike has a constant pulling feel. I read the reviews about this but didn't realize I wouldn't be able to relax and cruise around like a regular bike. Maybe if you have a straight road and don't make turns it would be easier. I haven't been able to get used to it : (
Very difficult to Assemble if you do not have correct tools, not and easy as they say. After having someone assembly it this is why only one star. Due to single wheel drive on the right wheel the bike always wants to go to the right. Very hard to control with it doing this. Breaks have to be adjusted so tight to stop the bike they sound like they are rubbing all the time. With that all said we wanted to return it for a refund, they offered $100.0 off if we keep it. We still did not want it doe to everything. Then we had to pay $90.00 to return it for the refund. All said and done, no bike and $90.00 in the hole.

It is a really cute tricycle/ doesn’t look like a child’s bike. We assembled some of it ourselves and then took it to the bike shop to tighten everything up and check it over.I am 5’5 average weight and the 24” wheels are perfect. It is VERY hard to ride up hills... very heavy. I usually just walk it up steep hills. It’s best for short, flat trips.I feel very safe on it. You cannot fall off and you cannot go very fast.I got the all white version but painted the fenders and basket green.Oh! It also was sent with two missing brackets for the basket. Super annoying. I contacted the seller weeks ago and haven’t received them yet. I had to find a replacement at a hardware store.
The trike was fairly straightforward to assemble. Some of the metal in the fenders was misshaped during shipment and highly suspect one of the back axels in the rear assembly is warped (it makes a knocking noise when spinning). We had to take it to a bike shop to fix the front brakes. The brakes needed the spring put in the correct position and the pads needed to be adjusted. I did end up replacing the seat with one that didn’t have a back rest. Otherwise the trike works well and the puppy completely loves his new ride.
SO i finally took bike out for its first ride after putting it together in middle of winter.I need to do adjustments and tightening of things, but over all ride is good. I do not know if its is how it is made or how i put together but it seems like it leans to one side. and you have to turn casualy as it feels like it will tip over if you take corners too fast.As like most came in with some dents but superficial as far as i am concerned, i understand others anger as it is a new bike it shouldn't come in dented. The dents are all on the fenders so no big deal for me.The main thing i do not like is that the right wheel(gear/bearing) something makes a rubbing type of noise and i know it is not fenders, sounds internal.I will be adjusting the basket a little further back as the back of my feet hit the basket, and i need to learn to adjust the rear brakes as they do not work at all.over all the ride was fun and i did enjoy the bike and should be better once i make adjustments.will be adding lights and doing night bike rides in a group will upload pics once i have the lights on the bike!
