Below are some critical reviews about Osprey Packs Katari Hydration BlackReally wanted to keep this, but the Camelbak Lobo was better. Primary reason is that this was missing the quick disconnect on the bladder. A bit deceptive as all product images of this specific bladder show it with the quick disconnect which is really convenient when you're taking it out to dry it after a ride. Storage and build quality was a bit inferior to the Lobo as well.
I ordered the Osprey Kitsuma 3 Women's Bike Hydration pack and the Osprey Katari 7 Men's Bike Hydration pack from Amazon and neither of them came with the blinker light attachment as advertised.
Good design as a backpack but.... water has a bad plastic smell just in half an hour after filling. Also it doesn't have quick disconnect as advertised on a manufacturers web site.

Although this is a biking hydration pack I bought it to use in Spartan races. It turned out to be a little larger than what I expected but that just makes it more versatile for other uses. It's durable and withstood the abuse of a Spartan Beast. Osprey packs are the BEST! I speak from 30 years experience in 4 season hiking / backpacking / wilderness adventures and I've tried many different packs. Osprey's features, comfort and durability are unsurpassed.
dont like the chest belt clip, hard to release without gloves, very tough with glovesdont like velcro closure at top of pack, not sure why that is there.belt clip for hydration closure is bad for quick release. should have the slot in the plastic slider so the clip doesnt have to be opened and closed to release the hydration bladder.good weight, storage space and water carrying capacity
Was required to bring a hydration pack on a charity mountain climbing event, bought this one as it was small and light, but still had enough pocket room for snacks, first aid kit, sports towel, phones, etc. now use it all the time for recreational hiking instead of carrying water bottles.
